9th inning two outs, and you're having a perfect game thrown against you. is it wrong to bunt to try to break it up? should you have bunted earlier to break it up and try and use that to get some momentum? or is now the time?
what do you do, as a player or manager?

Depends on the score. If you're getting clobbered 8-0, then it's pretty bad.

I think its wrong to bunt in that situation..Its a d-baggery thing to do..just my opinion...but it also depends if your losing 10-0..If your only losing 1-0 or 2-0 then I guess I can see it

Down by 3 or less there is nothing wrong with it. If you're getting hammered then it's pretty chicken shat and classless.

i don't usually agree with you, but very good point. 1-0 game is fine to bunt to win. but if you're down 8-0, just try to get a hit by swinging.

I figure its the right thing to do no matter what.If the pitcher is that good then why should the opposing team sit there and try to hold the other teams hand. You play as hard and strategically as you can every game no matter what. There is nothing chicken crap about it.I'd do it and sleep like a baby afterwards too.

Yeah, I agree. Plus, aren't most ballplayers competitive? If they are losing 8-0, chances are if they break up the perfect game, they probably won't win, but if they break it up, they gain a chance to win. Regardless of the score, if I truly believe that I can get a hit or reach base (error) by bunting, I will without hesitation.

I think that it is a chicken s*it thing to do, but depending on the score I guess it could be a little more understandable. It would be the number 9 hitter, so if they get on base, the top of the order would be coming up, so if it was only 1 or 2 runs it may be obtainable.

But this sounds familiar:

final score was 3-1, i assume (didn't read) that it was 3-0 when the guy did this, and they had 5 outs left. i don't see anything wrong with that imo

How is it wrong? What if he hits a broken bat bloop that falls in? Should he just stand there and get thrown out at first because it was a cheap hit?

Unless you really need that bunt to win the game, it's a pathetic attempt to ruin someone's history. It's your right to do so, but no baseball player would do it for fear of being a laughing stock.

A laughing stock or someone who doesn't respect the game. It didn't go over well with many when Ben Davis successfully did it to Curt Schilling in the 8th inning of his quest for a perfect game, and that was in a 1-0 game at the time (if memory serves me correctly). I had no problem when Davis did this, because in that situation there was a decent chance that reaching base would end up making a difference in the game's outcome. However, in a game where you are several runs behind there is no need for it. A ninth-inning bunt single in this scenario would have an almost 0% chance of making an impact on the game's outcome. It would definitely be frowned upon if it ever happened.
