Is Jesus Montero all hype?

He hasnt been hitting well at all this spring (.222 AVG), and his defense has been subpar..... It looks as though Gustavo Molina might be getting his spot on the roster when it was assumed by many that he would make the big club.... Thoughts????

Good question sir. I would argue that all prospects are all hype. If they have never played at the MLB level then we are only speculating what they could be. Very good topic.

Then please speculate... What is his future gonna look like? His track record so far this spring seems unimpressive to say the least...

Honestly, Montero like most prospects who get the "cant miss" title has those who are sold on what he'll be and those who arent and then those who will say he's a bust because they have a fighters chance of being right. At the end, someone will get to say "I told you so" and some will say they are wrong and others will swear up and down they never said he would be a bust.

So you are assuming that he will make the big club and have success or do you mean on the minor league level this season...
