Didn't the Lincecum Exquisite 4x Patch/Autograph 1/1 sell not long ago? I thought it did, but can't remember the price.

I think it went for $2750, or something like that.....

I say that you hold onto that thing until the National so that we can all take a gander at it! Amazing pickup!

~Man, if I had only searched 1997 Bowman's Best Tim Lincecum~

That's an amazing pickup - but what the hell is with the listing?

With hardcore Lincy collectors, the wossa factor, and the fact you got it for only $105...it's really hard to see why you wouldn't let it ride from .99 cents.

Buy a six pack the night it ends and smile when you make your $1k profit.

Feedback of (2) - I hope you get the card and someone has not sent the seller a message with a higher offer. Best to keep your steals in confidence until it is in hand.

Tom

Great Pickup...I don't know but if that was me I am keeping that card for 100. A RC of a 2 x CY Young winner who could when it all said and done be one of the greatest pitchers. It will only go up in value. But whatever you choose to do still the greatest buy I have seen.

I think 5-6K is a good estimate.

It really doesnt have much more room for increase in price past 6k, IMO, as BB is regarded as the 3rd best between Chrome, Sterling and of course, BB.

However, I dont think you will be too upset about 50-60% profit

;)

Congrats on the awesome buy

I don't really see how it can go up in value that much. He is coming off back to back Cy Young seasons. He will need another Cy Young caliber season to keep the value where it is at as the casual collectors move towards the next great thing. Die-hard Lincecum collectors will always be willing to shell out the big bucks, but for it to go up you either need a new hardcore Lincy collector, or a casual fan with a lot of $.

I am assuming in 15 years the value of this card will go higher if Lincy continues his pace (big if though). Imagine if Roger Clemens had a 1/1 RC card. I can't say for certain because I don't think we have a HOF ever retire with a 1/1 RC. But who knows maybe 5 k is the max.

You also have to take into account that Chrome and Sterling are more sought after than Bowman's best

Partly because Chrome is king, and Sterling has less parallels than the BB does

I think 7-8k could be the max, but I dont see it going for more than 6k now

ok, i'll give u that if he continues at this type of pace for 15 years then it will go up in value. But its unrealistic. Even Clemens had ups and downs. Bowman's Best also doesn't have near the overall following of Chrome and Sterling. In the near future, it will be extremely hard for this to go up in value unless he rattles off another 2 or more Cy Young's in the next 5 years

Wouldn't that be a 5000%-6000% profit?

I believe Wossa is the one with all the major Lincecums, so I would bet that no matter what the cost Wossa would end up with this.
