Ken, now you have to buy donuts for the whole FCB.

Awesome steal man, that's quite a find! I would have been very nervous that the card wouldn't show up.

What are you going to do with the profit? :geek:

The seller is a friend of mine. I am assuming either one of two things with this sale.

A) The seller meant to enter 1,000 and only entered 100. This is a possibility as the son was helping with auctions. Fat fingers syndrome is a mutha.

B) The seller didn't really know what he had. I know Milo and he has never really gotten all tied up into "value" of cards. He has pulled quite a few gems in my presence and he has never wondered or asked about price. I remember talking to him about the Gibson Barrel card when he brought it in to show me, and he wasn't really concerned about how much it would go for. He is very laid back and lowkey. Perhaps he just figured it was a 100 dollar card and let it ride. The shop he used to frequent for all of his stuff is now closed so he might have just lost touch.

Great card dude. Congrats

List it and make all your money theres no reason to hold, unless you collect him or like him at as a player, but to make that much as a profit is hard to pass up. His prices wont go much higher.

Nice card. Wouldn't mind having it myself. But of course, if I got it, you guys would have to wait for another 40 years until I croak for a chance to own it. I say keep the damn thing. :D

I'd get that thing out of my hands as soon as possible and sold. Is nobody else concerned about his loss in velocity? I know scouts say it doesn't matter but it seems to me that a possible injury is coming. Sell now is my advice.

Im not concerned, however i dont think the card will ever be worth less than $100 so i have nothing to lose. :)

no offense to ken, as it is a nice card and a helluva steal but i would much rather have the gold and orange in this case

true however its much easier to acquire a gold and/or orange at a later date since there are so many of them.

Really?? He could blow his arm out tomorrow....drug suspension....multiple things could derail his career to where he becomes a footnote in history & that $100 would seem about right for value.

meh, i disagree. There are enough hardcore Lincecum collectors that this card will never approach that $100 value imo
