And some people believe, referencing the second picture, that this guy is 31 years old?

I believe it is real. I had a similar thing happen to me with a bike tire when I was a kid. We were messing around on our bikes and I crashed into him. I happened to be looking at his tire as I was flying over my handlebars and witnessed it bend extremely to the left and go back to original form. I know it sounds crazy, but I know what I saw. I have also seen UFO's, so maybe their is something wrong with me? I will never forget that tire or the UFO's.

Wouldn't the impact bend it the other way? I'm no expert with science or physics or what have you.

Notice the cage's shadow...also bent...optical illusion or completely doctored. Looks like a fisheye lens.

Top of cage is curved and not straight hence the shadow. Notice all other sight lines conform correctly.

Perhaps the cage is actually bent in that manner though. Notice that the bat cage shadow appears straight until the first crossbar. Looking at the cage above the crossbar, it does in fact look to be curved in some manner.

The bat does bend as it contacts the ball. The photo has been enhanced though as you can see the bat and ball have both been stretched.

That's a "pre-contact" photo. The sun's light is coming in at about "one-o'clock." Hence the extreme bend in the post's shadow and shallow, nature curve to the cage itself. This is without question a fisheye effect or lens, whose focal point is at approximately the bottom corner of the cage.

QUoted for truth!! ^^

Both a pre-contact photo, and enhanced lense/enhanced photo.
