Can anyone explain the ending price on this auction?

Bidding went from $125 to $1150 in one step. The first one listed went for a shade over $100.

Yeah, I'm thinking it was two snipes both thinking "the last one went for a little over $100... with a snipe of $1k+ there's no way I'll lose."

Happens pretty frequently.

Nine seconds later, he said,"I'll show this i***0 guy who's boss," and placed a bid for at least $1175 at 17:53:11. Then k***w bid $125 at 17:53:24, wasn't winning, so he said,"I'll show this m***m guy who's boss" and bid $1150. m***m's max bid was greater than that, and was pushed up the $25 increment for that price range, and he won.

This is what I thought... no way this card gets paid for... watch it either get relisted or offered for $125 or something. This is why I NEVER put in a snipe for like $1,000,000 just to make sure I win because you never know who else is doing stupid snipes to make sure they win lol

It's fairly prevalent among users on this board. Overall on Ebay, it's still a small percentage of the user base based on my experience as both a buyer and seller. Personally, I use Gixen to snipe every auction I'm interested in and would recommend it to anyone. Many others on this site also use it.
