Thanks for the advice::facepalm:: Not sure why I even decided to have an opinion...
Apparently you are the only one allowed one then. Sorry I posted in your secret, personal thread. :?

I just don't see how saying, "Well then don't buy them." even makes sense, but it's a typical response around here when anyone does not like something. It's not like I was looking for advice, or contemplating what to do. I had an opinion: I hate 'em. If your opinion is that you like them, tell me, or tell us. But to say, "Well don't buy them," is unneeded advice, and honestly, quite childish.Apparently you are the only one allowed one then. Sorry I posted in your secret, personal thread. :?

I understand you don't like the cards, but I don't get why you're so upset.
If you think they suck, don't buy them. Player collectors should never get stressed or feel pressured to buy every new card of their player to compete with other player collectors.
Just concentrate on all the cool Gwynn cards and ignore the new stuff you don't like.
Agree....Hey Gwynn545, I'm not sure if it has been suggested yet, but the best thing to do, is to maybe not buy them
Good point. It's true I am already biased against unliscened cards, and it does make me think about how my favorite all-time player must really be hard-up for money to partake in this. He's already gone and sold seemingly his whole estate full of items, memorabilia and knick-knacks...Would you buy them if he was in a full logo'd college baseball uniform?
How about a logo-less college baseball uniform?
Or do you just hate "non licensed" cards eventhough gwynn personally ok'd the card?
Jagoff? I thought you were much older, sportscardtheory. By the way, you did not prove anything with this last post of yours. Everything still stands the same. Wasn't asking for advice, and I knew I would get the childish, "Don't buy them" response. Just surprised it was from you.I didn't JUST say "well don't buy them", jagoff. I said I can see how some may like them, then you came back with a mini rant about how awful and terrible they are. THEN I said, don't buy them then. Get your crap straight. If something so trivial get's you wound up like this, maybe you should look for a different hobby. That or don't post crap that you can't handle responses to.
Agreed. I have seen some worse things in the hobby, but it hardly affected me personally as a player collector from the 80's-90's on up. When Bowman made a "Scout" card, I laughed, but only to myself! To OP: Are they lame? Yeah, kinda. But some folks MIGHT think they're cool. I've seen much worse things in this Industry...
Coming from you, that suddenly makes sense!!Hey Gwynn545, I'm not sure if it has been suggested yet, but the best thing to do, is to maybe not buy them

Sometimes I never know if you read the whole thread, or just the last post or two before you reply...Yes, I'll relax...Agree....
Gwynn, relax man
Well said!I don't get how this is any different than people (myself included) complaining about too many prospect autos in products like bowman platinum and inception.
I understand the easy thing is to not buy them but isn't this board an outlet for collectors? I'm w Gwynn, the idea of a baseball player featured in his college uniform playing a different sport in a reprint insert set is pretty ridiculous.
Well said.I think the thing that may bug certain collectors is if their favorite players are to be featured on cards, then people want collectible and fresh items. Not rehashed stuff. Or very poor ideas. Because you never know when a company might get the thought that something is a good idea and then they run it into the ground until its virtually worthless, meaningless, and the new norm. They do this with things that actually started off as good ideas. Like game used, autos, and inserts. But if it's a terrible idea, and they keep repeating it, well now we are all in hot water because the only thing left to collect is something a lot of folks don't like. And before you say if it doesn't sell well, they'll stop, no. They won't. Because somebody always buys it. It never fails.
just googled this, you from pittsburg? that's not niceI didn't JUST say "well don't buy them", jagoff.
