He has gotten his average up to almost .270 after a horrible first half. He was betting under .250 for most of the year.

Any chance we see a September call up? Would it make any sense for the Yankees to take a gamble and bring him up?

I personally dont think the Yanks have anything to gain out of calling him up, but my cards do.

Opinions?

Let him prove he can hit AAA pitching

Worst thing would be to bring him up in a spot role riding the bench and he doesn't produce.

we better not trade him!, he is the future of hitting for us, because Romine will be behind the plate, lets trade Cervelli for some pitching!!!

What do you think Cervelli would get you?

He's a yankee fan, probably Lincecum and 3 or 4 prospects...

;)

Sad day when Philly fans are cracking on Yankees fans.

I saw a trade proposal from a Royals fan the other day that went like this:

Royals Trade:

--Joakim Soria
--Kyle Farnsworth

Yankees Send:

--Jesus Montero
--Brett Gardner
--Joba Chamberlain

Didnt you guys learn not to talk trash after last years World Series predictions? Half of the team went into hiding after the World Series you would think the fans would have learned a lesson from that  ;)

since he is having a solid year, i would like a top 25 relief pitcher from a bad team, or a setup man NOT named Joba

I'm not talking trash, I'm talking experience, when you see the trade "proposals" SOME yankee fans throw out, you have to shake your head.

Also, you won the world series, nothing really for me as a phillies fan to be ashamed since we've been among the two best teams in baseball for a couple of years and we were the defending champions at the time.

I'd trade Joba for Soria in a second.

I'd take that deal, but then it is Montero and Gardner for Farnsworth.

i find it amusing that .270 in july is a reason to get excited. each of his numbers avg, obp, slg, ops, so are tracking to be career worst. of course the competition is above his previous but a hitters gunna hit!!! now the question is when does he become a mainstay in the bronx? 2012? mid 2012? 2013?
