I think he needs to get the hell out of Cleveland.
It was crazy to me to see the fans and how the city was responding after the loss. Not that they "hated" him for losing, but it was like he let the entire city down. The interviews and stories detailing how much he means to the economy, the hope and pride he brings, etc., etc......it's all crazy to throw on someone who plays a game.

Granted those can also be reasons to stay, and if he ever did win there it would make it all the more meaningful.....but it just looked like it was all beginning to drain on him.
You come here to Chicago.....sure fans are going to expect you to win too, but if he doesn't - everyone will just whine for a few days, say he sucks - and move on to criticizing the Cubs/White Sox and looking forward to the Bears season.

Miami is a viable option IMHO. And I still think NIKE will figure out a way to get him to the Lakers...

Couldn't that also be bad for Nike? Seems it would be better for business if you had your two biggest draws in two separate city's....You already have Kobe and a championship team as a huge draw in LA - it would seem more profitable to have Lebron in New York, Chicago or something and take over that market as well.

I think NIKE would like the "big boys" together to win a few championships before Kobe moves on. Especially if Jackson comes back to add to his title count. And they would definitely win, not a "maybe" like NY, Chicago or even Miami, even with D-Wade. It would probably better for the international market (1st NBA store just opened in China) too. And LeBron has more than hinted at a desire to "cross over" into TV, entertainment, etc. which is a better option in Tinsel Town.

A sign and trade would make it the max $$$ for LeBron, clear out the needed space for LA and give Cleveland some immense ending contracts to clear out and start over in 2011.

Just always felt it would work out that way, just a feeling based on my own speculation. Not afraid to admit I could be dead wrong.

I don't think Lebron would want to play for the Lakers. If goes to Miami he is co-top dog with Wade. If he goes to Chicago he is top dog with Rose as his #2. If he goes to LA he's playing in Kobe's shadow and everyone will say he only could win because of Kobe. If he builds something special with Wade in Miami everyone will only talk about how the two of them won year after year after year.
