Just got my 100th GWYNN Topps Rookie Card... AM I CRAZY?

If you don't know me, you did not know that I hate doubles! I collect one card of every Gwynn that I can. Except...

Just got my 100th 1983 Topps Gwynn Rookie today. I could only fit about 50 on the scanner, Something about this card! I still have the ONE that I pulled out of a pack in 1983...It has a ink pen mark on it.
Overall nothing special, I have one official PSA 9 (not scanned), a couple 8's, possibly some gems mixed in ungraded... Someday I'll get a 10.
If I can find them cheap, I can't pass them up it seems. For example, the lot I got today was 19 for $75 dlvd.
I definitely think I need a few more, though!

"big enthusiast"! I'll take that! I guess not crazy, but there's still a ton of Gwynn out there here and there that I should be getting, but I keep wasting my money on these!

#1 That's three scans side by side! Trying to get the full effect!
#2 That's actually a great idea! Especially for the fact that I don't NEED more than one! I am going to have to seriously consider that!

Although, I actually was thinking about selling them and getting that DSLR camera I have always wanted!

Yes, I would say that's probably right. Smaller lots might go for a tad more, like 20 for $80...

Kinda Crazy, but understandable. I'm that way with Colts cards.

After I bought my first two 2009 Bowman blue parallel Julio Teheran's, I went nuts and bought 11 more. Right now I have 13 of the 500 made. Maybe I'll go for world domination on them.

Thanks for the offer, but I sold a lot of my collection to our own resident Gomes collector LWMM. I'm just focusing on rare rookies and low-numbered parallels now.

Awesome milestone. I just recently started going the same route with Ryno's Topps RC. I'm up to 26 - all picked up for less than $5 each. If I can get it cheap, I pick one up.

Crazy? Nah. You simply have more respect for that card than most others do! I've got about 170 '86 Topps Traded Dale Sveums if it makes you feel better and like mudflap said, at least you picked a Hall of Famer! There's a member here who has hundreds and hundreds of '86 Donruss Cansecos as well. The more you acquire, the cooler those gang scans get!
