As many of you know, we have some extremely knowledgeable and talented people on this site! Since the sketch card craze caught fire within the walls of the hobby world, we have seen some amazing cards produced. Even more striking is the fact that one of our own, Eric aka WoundedDuck, produce some very nice custom sketches! His most recent foray into the sketch card world has been with the Topps You Sketch It contest cards that were recently inserted into packs of this years 2010 Topps Baseball series 2 packs! His Yankee Legacy cards are some of the nicest sketches that I, along with many others, have seen. You can see some of his latest work here:

So, I went ahead and struck up a conversation with him about doing a Ryan Zimmerman sketch for me. I haven't seen too many Zimmy sketches and have always wanted to add one to my PC. So I comissioned him to do one. I had no clue what he was going to come up with as I told him to be creative and let his own ideas fuel his work. So earlier last week he showed me what he came up with. Needless to say, i was VERY impressed. Well, today I checked the mail and BOOM! There it was!

What a great looking card and Eric is a very very talented artist and I hope that he gets a shot at being included in Topps products next year. So here it is.......

My camera pic doesn't do it justice. His awareness to detail is very very good and adds to the overall appeal of the cards. I would suggest getting one done if he's got some time. Its great what he can come up with .

Glad it arrived safely and you like it. I always hate how these scan. I keep tinkering with settings and one day maybe I'll get it. Il probably have to just buy a new scanner though.

meh, I took the picture with my Blackberry. My scanner software is nowhere to be found. But it looks GREAT in person.
