Dbacks are now going to try and flip Ahmed with a young pitching prospect to Detroit for Rick Porcello

They are already negotiating with Prado to lock him up long term as well.

At present this trade is even. It will take a while to see which team won it. It is mutually beneficial to both teams NOW though.

I do not like the direction our line up is going bat wise. We don't have a true a obp guy anymore. Worries me.

While I agree with you in regards to the fact that we lost our one true OBP guy, I do not think this was an even deal.

Prado is going to get a contract that is only a few mill a year less than what Upton has right now, and the prospects that Arizona received were not even close to being top tier like those offered by Seattle. Delgado is not the prospect Taijuan Walker is, and Ahmed is an average shortstop prospect, as he isn't particularly impressive in any regard.

Getting Upton means you have one year of McCann or Prado left. No way you can resign both next year. On the flip side, you have this for three plus years:

Upton, Upton, Heyward, Freeman, Simmons, Beachy, Medlen, Minor, and Kimbrel

Look at how I crunched the numbers and the Braves thought outside of the box.

Can't really compare this deal to seattle's. I also didn't say it was bad trade. Upton vetoed the seattle deal.

I said at present, it was mutually beneficial and only long term would prove whether or not we can really call it a win.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't saying you were wrong.
All I was saying is that I personally believe that the Diamondbacks have drawn the short end of the straw on a couple of deals this winter.
While it may not hinder them in the long run, I just can't see Delgado becoming an elite pitcher or Prado performing to the level that the contract he is about to receive demands

This trade at first glance looks like a huge win for the Braves....
