I was just at Belmont Beach last weekend too. Some of my friends always wonder why I don't like swimming in the lake, but they aren't native Chicagoans.


They'll learn sooner or later.

I wouldn't swim in anything that has "Michigan" in the title either. Upper Peninsula and sand dunes not withstanding, there is a reason that cancer rates are higher in Michigan, and everything flows toward large bodies of water.
