Maybe Brian is not posting here anymore. This isn't a Leaf bashing thread. I'd say the same thing if one seller had half all of the /25 Panini cards or /25 Bowman Chrome cards....

But, when one person owns the company, rather than a group -- or a publicly held company -- this type of thing is easier to do. This is the downside of the micromanufacturer. A lack of the ability to trust the micromanufacturer. And this is bad for all investors in that micromanufacturers cards. Trust me, I've got close to, if not over, a grand tied up in this particular player, and one particular company... This doesn't make me happy.

I just read this thread (on family vacation)...

I just did some investigation on this..
#1- we have never sold a single cards to this party..
#2- we did not use all 25 of each card in rookie retro (due to print run), so we kept some of each purple for customer service.. We had no purple returns to my knowledge and ultimately used these as a "makeup" for redemption/customer service issues..

As far as how this seller acquired these, no clue. However, I will address with my customer service how these were used and make sure in future that they do not use quantities of a single product for make up of issues..

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.. BG

PS- the posts in this thread which serve no useful purpose (but to harass, insult, etc) are precisely why manufacturers don't interact with collectors anymore.. These people cost real collectors the opportunity to improve the hobby through personal communication..

The problem with that theory, Brian, is that both Tim and I have been on the hunt for Trevor May purple Leafs since they came out, and we own the majority of those sold on eBay.

Edit: Brian's original post indicated that one person bought them up and then sold them to bigboyd. He then edited the post above, making mine look nonsensical.

Continued edit: Bottom line is that we'll not ever get a response that makes sense. Iv'e received PMs from other members saying that bigboyd has been selling numerous purples of other players they collect as well, and continue to list.

I can only tell you what I know.. Bg

Which apparently is nothing. You have a form grasp on everything else that your company name is on except for unused inventory? Sounds strange.

If you go back to bath salts posts, I am never posting again. You can forget about ever seeing this card again.

Staying on topic..

We have grown tremendously over the last year (revenue doubled and staff doubled)..

I cannot be involved in every single facet of our business..

It is hard enough to be intimately involved on every product development as I am..

I will find out the "story" here.. But, I stand by the fact that posters who post merely to harass and take up space make responses to legit concerns like those Jeff ha less feasible/likely (at least with public responses).. BG

This is exactly what BG is talking about. How are you adding anything at all to this question/debate? You're not, you're just cluttering up the thread so people have to weed through more posts to actually find the useful information. We get that you don't like Leaf/BG and I seriously doubt that he cares, but you're proving his point about people adding nothing but hate to the thread. Some of us want to hear what BG has to say about this so please move on so we don't have to weed through 4 useless pages to find a half dozen worthwhile posts.

There is no useful information.BG has you looking at my posts instead of the lack of info in his. When the XXXX has I don't know been a acceptable response? It never has been in my book but because it is BG and he gives XXXX away and interacts with us,we should just accept it.Pathetic.

My issue I take with this is that as a stated print run of 25, should not have all 25 been made available to the open market? Selling, giving, or otherwise handing over large quantities to a single reseller seems just left of integrity. I mean, if Topps had a stated print run of /50 on all gold auto cards but only packed out half and sold, sent, gave the rest to a private reseller, this board would be up in arms and BG himself would have chimed in stating how Topps was the devil for doing so. Bottom line is that there is a right way and a wrong way to do things, and this just seems like the wrong way to do things. And although I am not calling anyone a liar, I do not believe for one second that Brian Gray did not know what had happened to a rather large stash of purple /25 auto cards that had substantial value. He has ALWAYS known his companies every move intimatly, even packing out cards himself. Now in the wake of yet another issue he suddenly had no idea...? In the end, he broke no law and made no promises. They were his cards to do with what he wants. It is just another example of who BG is, what his company stands for, and what we can expect when buying his products...
