Just noticed 2 things about this year's limited after looking at a sell sheet. First is that it's now Donruss Limited. Dunno why they changed the name, but it doesn't flow off the tongue as well as Leaf Limited. Second is the fact that they came back to pretty much the 2007 box configuration: 1 pack per box, 5 cards per pack.

I believe they have completely nixed the 'Leaf' namebrand.

As for the logos, they have had them, but they were cropped up to just the 'NFL', were not autographed, and looked terrible. These, on the other hand, are very sweet.

That card looks awesome, but the rest of the non-logo jumbo jerseys look like poop.

Glad to see there are at least 7 rookie premiere rookies that Panini didnt plan for. Yes, they are all redemptions. Seriously, I thought the purpose of the premiere was to get your **** signed.

Also, the cuts dont have pictures on them, WTF?

Panini has had a nasty habit of not putting pics on cuts this year. We all know that pics on cuts are usually smaller, but no pics at all? Seriously. They do at least have player names on them unlike classics, correct?

sticker autos suck.

I agree, and collectors have made that loud & clear. Which leads us to Panini's highest tier product, National Treasures - just got the solicitation. Looks like a full-load of sticker autos, in fact out of over a dozen auto sets looks like only 1 on-card set, virtually everything looks like stickers. For $500 a pack this will not go over well in the hobby. :(

Don't get me wrong on card is great but I would personally rather have stickers than some of the ink beading, smudged up stuff we've been seeing lately.

Upper Deck has done this before too, in baseball and hockey products, so don't act like it hasn't been done before.

Yup. Also the cards don't look like anything special, just like catrds you could pull from lower-end products. I don't mean to bash Panini, I know they're new at this, but really they have all the old Play-Off ppl working for them.

I love on card autographs as much as the next guy, but when there isnt an area designed for an auto lets say like Contenders looks on the preview cards its horrible....They are dark and the autos blend in....If they are going to go on card, there needs to be a space for the auto set aside....
