Here's a novel idea for Leaf, instead of constantly threatening libel suits against internet message board members and filing hopeless lawsuits against competitors, why not focus your time and effort on making a card product that's actually worth a damn?

Even if its not worth a damn, make something that is an original idea.

lol This is so ridiculous. First off, they used Prizm, a name that I have never seen Leaf use... ever. Secondly, as someone mentioned, it seems like Panini should be able to use Prism, since they own the rights to Pacific.

I think competition in the hobby is a great thing. I'm really glad that there are multiple companies in the marketplace because that gives us options. Sadly it seems that Leaf is spending more on lawyers than producing cards and I'm getting tired of it. I love the fact that Brian comes on here and is accessible but sadly I think I've purchased my last Leaf product. I don't blame him for trying to do the best for his company but I don't like all the constant lawyering....

So BG is allegedly buying Lillard Prizm cards to get signed and then insert them into a future product, but turns around and sues the company that made the card over a name? Unreal! How many Panini cards did BG put into his best of products? How much money has been made by using other companies cards? How about Leaf taking the Donruss Crusades and making it Valiant? Same concept.

This comment couldn't be further off base. I've already made my comments about the lawsuit, but throwing out bombs like this as if it came from some educated experience is just a joke and a waste of a post.

Every Leaf product I've busted with the exception of the repackaged football stuff has all been profitable for me or will be very soon. I'll share my numbers later this evening if I remember, but I'm up huge on 2011 Valiant, 2012 Metal and Valiant will be profitable with my next few sales (and I have plenty of cards remaining), 2012 Ultimate was a HUGE winner for me (profitable by several hundred dollars with about half the cards left), 2012 Memories was awesome (already in the black and still have more than half the cards left), 2012 Legends of Sports is only a couple cards away from being profitable with most of the cards left.

I am not defending the lawsuit, but I will defend against off based comments like that one. There is a market for these cards and they are made very well...so I'd say BG has figured out how to make cards "worth a damn"...and quite a bit more than that.
