Ohh lets have the card companies make Cricket cards, and dartball cards, and bowling cards...Those sports are popular too

What part of MOST POPULAR SPORT IN THE WORLD goes over your head? It's not a sport that some people like. Soccer is far and away the most popular sport in the world. Football does not even come close, and baseball is a distant third.

Biggio is brain damaged. Don't mind him. He doesn't even understand what he's saying half the time.

The only mens soccer player I know is Donovan

Plus, this mostly proves that American baseball card collectors doesnt really care about soccer, thus card companes should spend alot more time on sports that people actually collect
I usually give you the benefit of the doubt because I assume you're "special" and a little mentally challenged, so I'll be nice.

What does it matter if baseball card collectors know who any soccer players are?
The thread is about how there are just as many companies making soccer cards as baseball cards.

Sportscard collecting is not limited to the United States as your sheltered young mind thinks.

The companies making soccer cards do it not only for the relatively small amount of American fans, but for the enormous worldwide population of a billion-plus soccer fans and collectors.

The small percentage of knowledgable American soccer fans is irrevelant, since it's not who most of the soccer memorabilia is targeted.
And the companies which do sell exclusively to American dealers as a niche product produce the cards in such tiny limited numbers, that to compare them to Topps, Upper Deck, Panini or Leaf is ridiculous.

IMO, Soccer cards would be one of the best investments you could make, and it'd be a safer bet then most prospects from Bowman Chrome. Look at some of the prices being realized for some Soccer cards and with Prizm Soccer coming out, it'll be on fire!

on card auto and patch cards of the top 100 players in the world would DECIMATE what anyone here thinks of what a sports card is. Tiger Woods? Jordan rookie? LeBron patch?

Imagine a Neymar/Messi dual on card auto /25. Or a Bale/Ronaldo patch auto card. Or a Persie/Rooney. You get the idea. Literally an entire world would be buying

Take a trip outside of the US, you will see a lot of different cards you never knew existed.

Im not a soccer fan at all, Ive tried watching, but just doesnt appeal to me. With that said, didnt the baseball card world go nuts over the 2013 Allen & Ginter Pele autographed cards last year?

Soccer is by far the biggest sport in the world, massively more popular than baseball, which is played in relatively few countries.
Why woudn't a sport with a billion more worldwide fans have at least as many companies making cards?

Ok, there as many companies making Lacrosse trading cards as Baseball.

I would love a Neymar/Messi dual on card auto.

Really? How many of those billion are card collectors compared to baseball card collectors? ESPECIALLY in this country.

When was the last time you saw soccer cards sold at shows beyond a new box by a wax dealer?

There's no question soccer is the "world's sport" but there's also no question that compared to baseball, soccer collectors are few far between.

Quite a few of my wife's cousins from Colombia are big Soccer card collectors. Just because its not that big in the US doesn't mean its not big in the rest of the world.
