If the design incorporates an area for the sticker to pop, then sure. If it's a clear sticker, either have it over an all white area or a faded out area, but not over top of a full strength picture. If it's a foil or silver sticker, tread carefully, because they look like crap regardless of design sometimes.

I'm not a big fan of stickers, but if you HAD to use them, I would suggest putting the stickers on a white background and trap them so you can't see the edges. I'm worried that years down the road the sticker adhesive will become dry and all these stickers will fall off. And when I look at a sticker autograph, my eyes are drawn to the edges which takes away from the visual appeal to me. So if you were to place it on a white background, it's kept clean looking, and then if you trap it in the card, it will not go anywhere while the edges are hidden.

BG, by set, do you just mean a mini set in a release like the TD Kings were in Leaf Metal Football, or do you mean set as in the entire set, no other cards but those 240 copies printed?
