Okay, all the the cancelled/postponed games is getting a little out of hand (with more to come, I’m sure)

As with the Marlins, you are free to treat any team whose games have been postponed as a free space only if you are trying to claim a full card bingo.

For all other bingos, each space must be a legitimate outcome with the required margin of victory.

This will eliminate any effective date requirement. Please just make note of any team on your card who had one or more postponed games along with the date of their first postponed game. I’ll verify the date on MLB.com.

Sorry, everyone, this is the best approach I can come up with to still keep the game going. Again, it will only affect the full card bingo since the other 4 require actual outcomes.

NOTE: If the entire season is cancelled at any point, the full card bingo is invalid (since everyone would have a full card bingo at the same time).

Pretty sure I have a 4 Corners match:

Astros 3 7/29 and 31

Braves 3 7/29

Astros 6 7/24

Braves 6 8/1

But double check me, it’s early! LOL

To me it looks like Mariners by 1, Cubs by 4, Cardinals by 4 and Reds By 7 are your 4 corners. Maybe I am playing this game incorrectly! :)

Ummmm...huh? I believe 4 Corners would be 4 different teams with win numbers of 1, 4, 4, and 7...unless, like @Gwynn545, I'm playing the game wrong. :p

Thanks for the clarification!

But I’m still a bit confused.

Do you need to get all four results for a team to be able to cross off their logo?

No, just their one assigned margin of victory is enough to cross the logo off.

So, the Mariners only have to win a game by exactly 1 run to cross them off the card, that’s it.

For the Reds, they have to win one game by exactly 7 runs to cross them off. For the Cubs and Cards, they each have to win one game by exactly 4 runs.

OK, got it!

I think...😂

Pirates by 4: 7/26

The 4 Corners is still up for grabs, everyone!

I don’t really understand the COVID “free spaces”... teams are still playing, they’re not cancelled. Besides that, wasn’t it just 2 teams (the Marlins and Cardinals) who were postponed?

Please see post #61.

What started with the Marlins postponing about a week of games led to a bunch of teams postponing at least one game. At the time, it was unknown how many teams would be affected for how long.

To keep the contest moving along for everyone (especially those who had some spaces on their card “frozen” due to no games being played), I decided to just allow those spaces to be automatically cleared if that team had at least one postponed game.

However, 4/5 bingos could only be claimed the traditional way. No free spaces. That is why the 4 corners is still available.

Hope this helps! Sorry for any confusion.
