So glad that this one came today, I did not want to have to wait until Monday. :)

Saw it while browsing eBay last week and loved the look of the card and the red background, and after all of my other tough ebay losses the days before I knew I HAD to have this one! I pm'ed Jay1065 about this one and he informed me that it was one of the rarest cards from the E90-1 set! Wow! He later told me to not be disappointed if I got outbid because of all of the set collectors [this is a very popular prewar set] would probably go hard after this one, and that the last one he saw for sale sold for 4-500ish! I put in a snipe of about $120 before shipping and to my surprise I had won it for $80 dlvd!! :D :D :D

Enough chit-chat....here is my most recent addition to the ole' Red Sox Vintage PC!

And thanks to my crappy scanner it does not like to scan backs of SGC slabs so here is the sellers scan so you all can see it:

It looks 50x better in person!!! The red background really pops!!

OH yeah, here is a checklist of the E90-1 set that lists the rarity level of a lot of the cards in the set:

(Stahl has a rarity rating of "A", which is classified as Extremely Rare..)

Thanks for looking and as always, comments are appreciated!

Wow I've never seen one of those before Scott. It's a really cool card, even in that condition. Very awesome pickup as usual!

I am really surprised it went so low, but congrats to you for getting it at that price.

I continue to enjoy seeing your pickups scotty.

Just wondering.....what makes some of them more rare than others? I know the story on the Wagner, but I've never heard of the reasons why others are more rare.

I hear there are quite a few of the piedmonts around here in people's attics with the original factories being here in Winston-Salem where they were originally made and put in cigarettes. I was talking with an antiques dealer about it a month or so ago, and he said there are many people here that don't even know what they have.

Amazing pickup dude! I actually saw a E91 Stahl at a show the other day, and while the dealer and I were looking it up in the alamanac, we saw how much the E90 ones are worth. That is an great deal you got! Congrats!
