Many of you may recognize the characters from Charlotte's Web, one of the classic children's books of the last 100 years. The illustrator of that book was Garth Williams, who also illustrated Stuart Little, The Little House on the Prairie series and dozens of other books.
This drawing was never used in the book. According to Williams' daughter, when he was illustrating the book, he drew a few extra drawings so that the author/publisher had additional options.
This was one of those drawings.

Shared this on my Dodger thread, but might as well add it here. Andre Dawson Penn Emblem in a lot that I won. He was the only one I needed. I am down to 15 unique players needed and 1 Rose variant. If i am lucky (and loosen up the $), I may complete this before I die, but I doubt it. Bonus Garvey in the lot was nice and helped me to justify the lot price in the end.
