its funny a mediocre pitcher a career .550 pitcher has both a no hitter,WS ring and now a PG not many people can say that.
He's a lot better than a mediocre pitcher.

I heard Steve Stone laugh and I know the hawk was crying his eyes out. I can't stand him most of the timemarkakis8 said:i love how the Hawk called the last batter (Bartlett)
He was dead silent for the first 3 pitches...then Bartlett hit the ground ball..."ALEXEI.....YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!"
He is such an extreme homer, I could actually picture him pacing in the booth b/c he was so nervous and wanted it for Mark so bad

In Mark's first No hitter Dye hit an Grand Slam and Thome had 2 homeruns and I think the
slam was the first time in a no hitter, But I'm for sure.
Well today Josh Fields hit a grand Slam in this one as well, So if the first on was true
then this history again as for the first pitcher to have a no hitter and a perfect game
and someone has hit a grad slam in each of his no-no's.
Can anyone verify if this has even not happened ever before.
Paging leatherman.
Ok thanks but was Bibby NL then and Burl's was AL or they from both the same leagueleatherman said:baseballguy350 said:Pine Tar said:So here is something I was not aware of and some people have seemed to allude to.

I can only search back to 1954, but here is what I found:
Jeff Burroughs hit a grand slam in Jim Bibby's no-hitter: July 30, 1973
Jermaine Dye hit a grand slam in Buehrle's first no-hitter: April 18, 2007
Since 1954, these are the only other games (along with the one today) where a team hit a grand slam in a no-hit game.
One last thing...in Buehrle's other no-hitter, the only baserunner was Sammy Sosa, from a walk. Sosa was promptly picked off first base, and Buehrle faced the minimum of 27 batters. Buehrle also faced the minimum 27 batters in a 2-hitter back on July 21, 2004. Both baserunners were erased on double plays.
After today, Buehrle is the only pitcher to have 3 shutouts and face only 27 batters. The only pitcher with more than one is Sandy Koufax, with 2.

I would not hesitate to agree.
