I'm thinking about starting a side project of McGwire cards in an A's uniform only. Collected him as a kid and miss alot of those old cards, even the junk years and love peaking in this thread from time to time. Plus there's still some sweet stuff available in the A's uni. If anyone has a starter lot of A's stuff they'd like to move drop me a PM and we can work something out. I think those buttons are pretty tough. So far I've only been able to identify 4 buttons from the set: McGwire, Canseco, Puckett, and Sabo.

Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. How rare are the 1991 Donruss McGwire cards with the alternate borders? There are 4 grand slammer variations (5 if you include the green border) and two variations of cards #56 and #105. Just wanted to know how rare they were. All of my dupes are the same. I came across the #56 border in a lot of cards luckily, and I am looking for #105 (not too worried about each grand slammer quite yet). What would you be willing to pay for one? I know the card is otherwise a piece of crap, so I wasn't sure how much to pay for the border variation. Any feedback would be appreicated.

I purchased a set of 4 of them back around '98 or '99, and none of them are numbered on the back out of 750. All the ones I have seen since then are numbered out of 750 on the back. I was just wondering if anyone knew why this was or if there was a difference between them?

I've never been able (or attempted to) get that straight myself. I've got all four variations:

Yellow Club
Green Club
Yellow Grand Slam
Green Grand Slam

and only two of them are hand numbered /750 I think they are the Green Club and Yellow Grand Slam. I was informed of the /750 print run before I owned any of them and never understood why this was the case. Jay might know.
