I saw one of the UD Star Exclusive Auto/JSY (Purple) from 2002 Upper Deck Rookie Update at a show this weekend. Sticker was 300 and it was #'d /50. Didn't pick it up, but seemed like a decent price, was it?

That was at the White Plains show, right? I think its a fair price, but his copy is bashed on the upper right corner. Its been on ebay for about 2-3 years.

Question...

Does McGwire have very many bat cards? just a bat piece, no auto, no jersey/patch, etc.
other than the 500 HR APOF, any good looking affordable ones?

10 bucks for any Mac GU card is a great price in my opinion........I regularly pay $40-$50 for GU Mac cards.....

longball - awesome auto pickups man. What's your count up to now?

shanks - nice bats, I love GU cards...you really are ramping up that GU collection!

Chris did you end up getting the MLB ceremony?

thosebackpages - Too bad on the GU. That would have been a killer deal, here's some more pics to supplement shanks post. There really aren't many bat cards out there. There are a small handful of auto/bat cards. They mostly made base, ball and jerseys. There are however two bat barrel cards I'd love to, but probably never will, get my hands on.

Joe,

That Black Diamond APOH bat card is my McGwire GU white whale. I remember being absolutely amazed and in love with that card when it came out. I guess I still am today. I remember it booking for $500 for quite some time.

As for other Mcgwire whales, i'd have to say the dual Sosa / McGwire bat and auto card (I think from Vintage?) is at the top of the list......

Eric,

I'd say wait a little bit and be patient.....another bat card of McGwire should surface pretty quickly......the Legendary Cuts bat card seems to come up pretty often.....
