Matt Lipka: Overrated or Underrated

I think a certain FCB member (whose name appears in red) buying them all up is creating an artificial excitement regarding any sort of "rating."

I'm with Senor Flap in not thinking that he's even "rated" at this point.

He is underrated by those who think he is overrated and overrated by those who think he is underrated. It all depends on context.

I think he's overrated due to newness.


I think people misunderstand me when I talk about him. I am not buying Lipka because I think hes a top prospect steal. I am buying lipka because he's the braves 1st draft pick and this is what I do.

I buy EVERY brave top draftee, regardless of my opinion. I bought Mike Minor, a pick I hated at the time.

Same reason I buy Chance Ruffin. I don't really care if he's the next Justin Verlander....I buy him because he was the Tigs first pick.

Plus, I know Gilmore isn't buying EVERY Lipka out there....
