Since no one really answered my question, I'll ask it again. Are there extra fees for sending in thick cards like patch cards!!Someone please answer as soon as possible because I'm sending in my cards tomorrow!!

there are no extra fees for thick cards

Would you mind answering my question about minimum grades? Am I allowed to submit cards for a minimum of a 9.5?

It appears you can submit for a min. grade:

I wonder, what will hurt the value of a "newer" card the least, a 9 vs. authentic, or an 8.5 vs. authentic.

If it's a prospect card, I can see how it might hurt the value. However, if it's say, a 1952 Bowman Mantle and it was slabbed authentic, I'm sure that price might go up :)

well if it's a prospect, if it's anything less then a 9 mint. it could be graded or be auth. it
still gonna hurt the value.

Re: May 2009 FCB group BGS Submission discussion

minimum grades only need to be used when an authentic holder would be preferable.

If you use a MG, you will not be able to tell what you failed to see about the card you attempted to submit. You learn nothing about how BGS looks at cards if you do that.

Re: May 2009 FCB group BGS Submission discussion

I was talking to Hype earlier and an idea hit me

to stream line all this and make it easier on all

What if we just said $6.00 - $7.00 per card, shipping included?

This way there would be no confusion over when to pay what and how much to whom.

Re: May 2009 FCB group BGS Submission discussion

Chris, I have 6 cards going out tomorrow (3 autos, 3 non-autos), totaling $36.

I'll include $36 in cash in the mailer, and just let me know how much on return shipping I owe you whenever you can. I'll pay that through paypal.

Re: May 2009 FCB group BGS Submission discussion

2. The cost is $6.00 per card plus a $1 autograph fee per card if necessary. This INCLUDES SHIPPING from me to BGS, from BGS back to me, and from me back to you. Please note that the minimum shipping fee is $5.

Re: May 2009 FCB group BGS Submission discussion

I already shipped out before you changed the rules to apply shipping....Can you just send me an invoice of how much I owe you in shipping?

BTW I paid $19.50 cash for 3 autographed cards (the old rule was $6.50 for each autographed card)

thanks!!

If I send in a slabbed BGS card to get recased, will it grade the same or will they have to regrade it again?
