I Just don't understand why anyone would to this. He'll be picked later next year, he'll be a year out of football shape and a year older. How are those all good things?

Is Jason Hill still on the 49er's (or has he gotten waived)?
Probably from a football standpoint, but if the Raiders had drafted Crabtree they would have already signed him.....to the most ridiculous contract imaginable. That's their m.o. with every player.G $MONEY$ said:Oh man, am i ever glad the Raiders took Heyward-Bey![]()

The 49ers' standing offer to unsigned first-round pick Michael Crabtree is worth roughly $20 million over five years with a max value of $26.5M.
$16M would be guaranteed. It's what the No. 10 overall pick should get. The proposal hasn't changed since June and there's no sign that the Niners will up the numbers. Crabtree's status for Week 1 is in obvious doubt. Aug. 26 - 3:42 pm et
It makes me wonder if regulations will be imposted that a player cannot appear in NFL uniform until he has signed. Or something like that, much like the NHL and MLB have regulations on their rookie. I know it wouldn't go as far as the MLB since the structure is so different, but I would htink they'd want to make sure there weren't cards Toppshopped (photoshop) or even photoshoots of players in pro jerseys they will never wear.vetsgt02 said:mstng99tim said:Let's say he does sit out and re-enter the draft next year, will his cards next year be rc's???
