You guys realize he is the likely BA #1 prospect for 2011, right?
His prices are not going to slow down in the near future.

That's what I've been saying for 5 months now. I'm glad nobody listens as I liked not having much competition over the winter months.

This one is up to $223.50 with five days to go. Anybody have any guesses on where this one will end up?

Heyward's pricing went nuts in Spring Training because he was going to break camp with the team, Trout will not. Nor should we assume that he'll spend even half of Spring Training with the MLB squad and therefore no ESPN highlights from MiLB camp.
While there is potential for Trout to start kicking out some power numbers in the Cal League, it's far from a lock. And while he's still young, I just don't see these dollar figures holding on.
Let's assume he spends the entire first half at the new Inland Empire affiliate, what sort of stats will he need to be sitting on to maintain these prices? .350+ batting average and 20+ home runs? Basically he would have to duplicate Brandon Wood's insane numbers right? (NOTE: Not equating the two at all, just the gaudy numbers.)
So, does anyone seriously think Trout has more than 10 home runs at All-Star break?
I'm not saying I don't think he can be great, because if he's hitting .300+ and scoring 100 runs, I'll be stoked...but these aren't numbers that keep the prospecting masses excited.

You're trying to use logic to explain prospecting hype?? That'll never work.
I just go along for the ride and jump off before the bandwagon crashes.

Trout: Johnny Damon with a bit better hitting ability
Better hitting ability than a guy who has a shot at 3,000 hits? I can't decide if this is a slight on Damon or if people think Trout is the next Ty Cobb.

Trout (over one year)
4 G - .571 AVG - 7 AB - 4R - 4H - 10 TB - 1 doubles - 1 triple - 1 HR - 4 RBI
Small correction on your numbers, Trout had two doubles.
ESPN only has one double.

If you would like, we could compare A+ stats, but you probably wouldn't like that, considering Trout was in the CAL league.
