Robert Whitenack (Cubs) scheduled to have Tommy John surgery. Terrible news. I was working on a feature for my internship about him. :sigh:

Trout 2/3 2b 2 RBI's .328 on a tear...

LOl to whoever said Brett Lawrie was better than Trout.

Says the person who thinks Allen Webster is a top 25 prospect...

20 yrs old in 2 months in AA: 55 games played: .323 AVG 16 XBH 7 HR 19 RBI 32 BB 41 K 21 SB 6 CS .427 OBP
21 yrs old (7 day DL) in AAA: 52 games played: .354 AVG 23 XBH 15 HR 49 RBI 18 BB 40 K 11 SB 1 CS .415 OBP

Different stokes for different folks but I prefer Lawrie as a prospect, maybe it's because I've seen him play and I haven't seen Trout play but I also know that there is a huge bias since a lot of people on here are on Trout's dick. I know many will disagree with my opinion, but I'm not really sure why anyone should "LOL" at it.

Dont get your balls in an uproar.

You'd take Lawrie over Trout.

I'd take Trout over Lawrie.

No reason to get all emotional over a debate between two prospects.

And btw, maybe Webster is'nt a top 25 prospect yet, but he's had an excellent season and is pitching well in AA at the age of 21.

Different leagues, no way you can compare them statistically and argue it as equivalent. People prefer Trout, just as essentially every single scout does, because he brings a lot more to the table than Lawrie does. Not saying Lawrie won't be good, but there's a reason Trout was ranked #1 or #2 in every relevant preseason prospect list.

Also, why consider Trout as a 20 year old when reviewing his current statistics? Currently, he is 19, and he put up all those numbers you've posted at 19, so let's keep it straight here.

I'd take Machado over both of them. But that's that wonderful thing about opinions.

You sir, are crazy. Only kidding with you of course, Machado is definitely one hell of a prospect. I don't think he'll be a better player than Trout in the long run, but he won't be a slouch by any means.

I know the argument could go on forever, but I would take Trout over Lawrie for the sheer fact that Trout has played so well at every level, while Lawrie has had basically 2 good months this year, and otherwise has been very "meh" throughout his career.
