It is damn near criminal that he hasn't gotten an extended look at the MLB level thus far. His K to BB ratio has been tremendous every season. I don't understand why he hasn't been called up. He's putting up Adam Dunn like numbers in the minors minus the K's.

Brandon Laird also goes deep tonight. 2-3 2B (12) and HR (11).

Yeah I never understood why the Royals just don't platoon Butler and Kila at 1B/DH. If Jose Guillen loses at-bats b/c he can't play the OF, who gives a ****. IMO, the Royals have nothing to lose in letting Kila get 3-4 AB's every game for the rest of the year, even if he hits .225 - see what the kid is made of.

So dominant, Don Sutton said the kid was auditioning for a locker at Turner Field soon...with guys like this in the wings, it won't hurt too bad when Huddy might be gone. I bet the kid could replace Kawakami now (even though his last 3 starts have been quality with nothing to show for it)!
