I like these days where Jungmann and Hellweg are pitching on the same day. They both have had pretty strong starts to the season.

Way too many pitchers are needing TJ surgery nowadays. Wouldn't you agree?

What are your ideas as to why this is the case?

The human body isn't designed to move that way.

The point is, for all our advanced understanding of training, medicine, and health/nutrition, more and more guys are getting hurt to the point of needing major reconstructive elbow surgery. Guys threw the same way mechanically before TJ surgery came along, so do you think they were all pitching with torn ligaments? I doubt it.

I have nothing to point to as evidence, but I wonder if all of the year-round travel baseball being played at younger and younger ages isn't predisposing players to UCL injuries and the need for TJ surgery.

Assuming milb.com box score is correctly updated and he's out of the game, Aaron Sanchez with a no-hit 5IP outing!
