I have been a fan of Smith since his September call-up. I remember he was always the late-innings, pinch-hitting hero. Wait, he's always been that.

Yeah. I didn't know (until this morning) that Akins was in the Spring.

After Tejada was traded I went to check the Orioles depth chart. He wasn't on there, so I checked to see if he got sent down. According to Milb.com http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb ... pid=425548 Looks like he hasn't played yet.

That would be great. He was an All Star player at one point.
