I'll start-I have to admit, overall, I think it's a rather well done list. However, the Top 10 doesn't make much sense to me, at all.

Their top 10:
1. Mike Trout, Angels |
2. Jeremy Hellickson, Rays |
3. Bryce Harper, Nationals |
4. Domonic Brown, Phillies |
5. Dustin Ackley, Mariners |
6. Aroldis Chapman, Reds |
7. Mike Moustakas, Royals |
8. Eric Hosmer, Royals |
9. Jesus Montero, Yankees |
10. Julio Teheran, Braves |

My personal opinion:
1. Bryce Harper-Sure, he has only played in the AFL so far professionally, but that was enough to convince me. This kid is a stud.
2. Jesus Montero-I think his bat is that special, along with the raw power. Won't be a long term C most likely, but a lot to like
3. Mike Trout-I am not as high on him as everyone else. Saw him play in the MWL, and he's a great talent-but not #1 type for me. His speed is overrated in my opinion, and the lack of power puts him at 3 for me.
4. Eric Hosmer-I am extremely bullish on him, but the kid can flat out rake, and should be above average defensively at 1B.
5. Domonic Brown-All the tools you could want, just needs a spot in Philly's OF
6. Julio Teheran-Slight edge over Taillon for best SP prospect in the minors for me
7. Jameson Taillon-Hasn't thrown a professional pitch, but I think he has the highest ceiling of any SP in the minors.
8. Dustin Ackley-I don't see him being a top 5 prospect type talent, but should be a sure fire above average or better MLB player.
9. Jeremy Hellickson-I don't see him being quite as dynamic as Teheran and Taillon in 5-10 years, but he's certainly got the goods.
10. Wil Myers-The bat, the bat, the bat. No matter his position, the bat will carry him. Move to OF just gets him to the show quicker.

Just missing the top 10(in no particular order): Aroldis Chapman, Desmond Jennings, Mike Moustakas, Freddie Freeman, Gary Sanchez, Michael Pineda

So, who are YOUR top 10 prospects? And who is too high, too low, or should/shouldn't be on?

Why Miguel Sano is not on that list is beyond me.

Teheran is too low, Chapman is too high.

I'm more curious to hear how the Mariners have 2 in the top 13 and 3 in the top 30 and still only rank 18th overall.

sano being left out was confusing to me as well. Taillon could have been rated better. Also thought gary sanchez could have been better as well.

I would not be surprised if Cashman had the opportunity to take either one of them today if he picked Hellickson. Same with the Rangers

It's laughable that Hellickson is 2nd overall. Any GM who would take him over Harper would be fired instantly.

I actually love the list and it was well put together. Montero at 9 was very surprising because he should at least be #4 behind Harper. I think the #3 spot for Harper is exactly where he should be for now. He rarely played any games, but the kid is a beast. Trout and Hellickson for now have proven themselves thus far, so that is why Harper is where he is. That is probably going to change though very soon.

Apples and oranges.

MLB.com put together this list; BA ranked the team 18th. Two completely seperate entities.

IMO, Josh Sale should have made the back end of this list.

Teheran is too low. Chisenhall is way too low. Wil Myers is too low. I agree that Sale should've made the list. If Christian Friedrich made the list, Josh Sale should've.

I'll probably end up being really wrong about this, but I have doubted Brandon Belt from the beginning. All of his stats were inflated by the CAL league. I just don't think he's the real deal, and thus too high on this list.

Friedrich was probably the second or third best pitcher in the minors in 2009. 2010 he was plagued with injuries. He's still a really good prospect.

IMO Hellickson is too high. He's good, but they made a reference to Greg Maddux I think when they were talking about him and I kinda' went "huh?". Maybe top 10. but not #2. Ackley is too high as well. He doesn't impress me at all. He had a good AFL stint, but I don't put much stock in the AFL, and his AA and AAA numbers were very average. A guy like Adrian Cardenas has essentially the same skill set, but no one would dare put him in the top 25, probably not even the top 50. I think Chapman is too high as well. Obviously, the guy can throw really hard, but he's basically going to be a closer-type for the next few years until he can find his control.

Hosmer and Mouse were about right, I think Mouse has some crazy upside, so he could have been a bit higher. Montero could have been a few spots higher as well. I don't think Kyle Drabek belongs in the top 25. I don't care about his "stuff" or his make-up, he put up numbers comparable to Jordan Lyles last year, who happens to be 3 years younger. Speaking of Lyles, I think he's top 25 material. Maybe top 15. I know plenty of people who would say otherwise, but he's already REALLY good, and he has a lot of time to get a whole lot better.

Mike Minor = Too high
Brett Lawrie = Too high
Singleton = Maybe too low?

The rest of the list is very forgetable. I feel like this year isn't as good as the past few years. Last year we had Heyward, Stanton and Strasburg, all of whom would have topped anyone on this year's list. Imagine if Stanton had stayed in the minors all year and hit 40+ home runs w/ a .300+ average. His cards would be insane right now (although, they're already sneaking back up to previous highs).
