Yanks get the win but a tough day. CC to the DL with a strained groin. Pettitte will join CC. 6 weeks with an ankle fracture.

Cubs pitching got smashed and I took the staff in ESPN Baseball Challenge. Cubs only have -44 points :benson:

Rizzo 1-4...Ike Davis took all his anger from last night and destroyed the baseball today along with Wright, Hairston & Murphy.

Wow, a lot going on today...

Mets score 17... that will end a losing streak in a hurry.

Desmond Jennings dropped from the lead-off spot (as he should have been) and has 3 hits.

Cano 3-4 with his 18th homer. He's red hot with 7 homers in his last 10 games.

Lester is now 5-5. He's been giving up a lot of hits and not K'ing a ton of guys but interestingly his control over his last half a dozen starts is as good as it has ever been which might mean his stuff is a little lacking this season...

Utley HR (1) in his first AB back.

Also, HR Ruiz (11). He's out Posey-ing Buster so far!

And Jarrod dominates again and Cespedes HR (9) as A's win again. Too bad they can't get a "Mulligan" for those coupla bad Weeks awhile back...

Hopefully Harper will break out of his slump soon:

Harper's last 12 games:
9/48 (3 2B, 6 1B)
.188
15 K, 4 BB
3 SB
0 HR, 1 RBI, 2 Runs

OPS has dropped from .943 to .837 (a 106 point drop in average) in addition to a 25 point drop in batting average

With that said, he is STILL having a very impressive year...hopefully he reverts back to his old self though
