Would love to hear peoples thoughts on either product if they have used it previously. I want to buy one this year and was wondering what you guys and girls thought was the best buy for your money. It looks MLB TV Premium is 119.99 this year: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd ... p&c_id=mlb
I believe MLB Extra Innings is near the 200 dollar range, but have yet to find out too much information on the 2010 pricing.

I would appreciate any input. Thanks :)

If you can get the MLB Extra Innings, get it. If not, get MLB.tv

I can't get Extra Innings so I settle for MLB.tv

Why can't you?

I don't have satillite, and I don't have Digital Cable, so I can't get MLB Extra Innings or MLB Network.

In order to get MLB Extra Innings and MLB Network I'd have to upgrade to Digital cable and it would cost ~$10 a month and the difference between MLB.tv and Extra Innings.

Not worth it for me.

Really depends on how you plan to use it.

If you want to watch games at home on your big screen tv, get EI. If you want to watch games while traveling or at work, then get MLB TV.

I do a combination of those, but for me, most nights at home I can just watch the local game, so I would rather have the convenience of MLB TV. Plus if you have an iPhone, you were able to watch the games on it last year, too. Forgot if it's going to be included this year, or a separate plan.

This is a no brainer. Especially if you use a laptop.

MLB.TV is cheaper and with premium you can watch more than one game at once. It also offers more games. There will be nights with Extra Innings when the game you want to watch won't be on. Some night all but 3-4 games are blacked out. You almost never have that problem with MLB.TV. They show every game.

With premium it is just as good as watching on TV anyway.... If you have a newer TV and a laptop you can hook up your laptop to the TV and still watch it on TV if you wanted to..

Right now I am currently not working so won't be able to get either  But in the past I have had MLB.TV and had no problems and enjoyed the service.

The reasons I picked MLB.TV over Extra innings:
Cheaper - don't know if they still do it but I was also able to pay monthly, so it was easier to justify and handle the $20
a month bill
Games on Demand - If you have a DVR it's not an issue, but at the time I didn't - so it was nice on nights I was working to come home and watch the game.
Kept my Girlfriend from killing me  - She probably would have been upset with a Red Sox game on in the Living Room every night. With MLB.TV I could have the game on in the background, or watch it in another room on a laptop, so it was convenient.

Those reasons were probably specific to me - but may be something there to think about. If I had the cash I'd probably get extra innings, but like I said I had no problems with MLB.TV.

Yeah. Basically what it will come down to for me is if I am able to connect my laptop to my tv and watch MLB TV off my actually tv. If I am able to do that I think MLB TV is the best deal. If I can't I would probably prefer extra innings. I will be ordering the cord of off apple tomorrow, so hopefully it works.

Question about MLB TV: I was a subscriber last year, will I have access to the spring training games before I renew or will I have to pay again to watch spring training? I know it might seem stupidly obvious, but I have my fingers crossed they will have some kind of promotion for old subscribers.
