I think its REALLY interesting that yesterday when the product was going up, they listed 3 (8 box case lot) for $3300 BIN's and they were all hit instantly which is $1100 per case when they're going over $1800 right now.

What ever happened to Larry Roselli? I almost got burned by this guy, lucky I got my money back from PayPal for a case of Exquisite Basketball. Rumor had it that he had over 6 figures in sales he ran off with.

This is the reason that I decided not to buy any products from Mamma-Bear.

Same thing happened to me with Roselli, I preordered a case but when stuff started happening I filed the Paypal claim right away to protect myself. I wonder what happened to him?

Seems easy enough of an explanation. Plus they can easily offset other gains by losses posted within this structure.

All that means is that they have to pay taxes on what they sell. The "dirty money" is the money they would be buying the cases with from the dealer. There wouldn't be any record of where it came from if they paid in cash or used a credit card. If you make the money trail long enough, the harder it will be to catch up to. Will they get caught....sure, at some point. But, the longer you prolong it, the longer you can live the high life on all this floating cash.

if you are laundering money you can still file it all on a 1099 since it has been laundered. the feds will think it came from selling bb cards. remember federal gov co. is only as smart as the idiots they hire.

Right, this is basically what I was saying. This guy doesnt want to hide the money necessarily if he is laundering it.

Just to bump with a simple question. With the knowledge that these were being "short-sold", and the increase in Sterling case pricing, is it now more likely that people will not be getting their cases, and instead getting refunds. Has anyone who purchased from mama_bear reached out to ask for tracking numbers? With the stories of Bowman Draft, and the option to pay more for expedited shipping, did anyone ask to pay more for overnight shipping, based on the fact that the product buy in was significantly lower?

I was looking at mama_bear's feedback and saw that he already has a + for Plates and Patches which doesnt release until this weds. I emailed the person who left the feedback to see if they received early and this was the reply

No, it hasn't been released yet.

Mamabear refunded me for the purchase after I found out he would probably lose money on the case. I don't want anyone losing money because of me, hence the refund.

A time out to say I love the username! One of the best weekends of my life was at the Mystery Science Theater 3000 Conventiocon Expofest-o-rama in 1994(or '95?) up in Minnesota. Good times. Saw Cinematic Titanic in Milwaukee last year as well

I bought from him for a few years as well. He always had the lowest prices but it seems that caught up with him.

Yup off the top of my head I know I got (5) cases of 07 Bowman Draft, (2) cases of 08 Allen & Ginter and (2) cases of 08 Bowman Jumbo from him without any problems. Always seemed like a nice guy. Sad how it's turned out.

Just got word from mamabear today that the cases would ship out this week. I ordered 2 of the Bowman Sterling cases, so that is good news for me. If for some reason they aren't out this week, a claim will be made and that will be that.

But, I am cautiously optimistic at this point.

I too, bought a Sterling case from "mamabear". I e-mailed last week asking when the product will ship, and was told early this week. I e-mailed again this morning to follow-up and see if he will be shipping it today or soon as promised and haven't heard back yet (granted it's only been 10 hours since the e-mail).
