Love or Hate Burbank/Teawolves they are good for the hobby. They own cards and set market prices, for this reason other people will list rare cards so you will buy theirs for 1/2 of a Burbank price, in reality the card should have sold for 1/4 a Burbank price. Look how many people sold off rare cards after Burbank bought the collection, card movement is good for the hobby.

Many people have asked me to buy 1993 refractors or other 90s inserts. I tell them my price and it is based on what I have into the card, not what it would/has sold for on ebay. Yeah, I dont sell much.

I'll have to respectfully disagree...[/quote:2uvyxdrm]

Please explain?[/quote:2uvyxdrm]
I have no idea how it would effect prices, but I definitely see it bringing more cards to auction
that otherwise might just sit in boxes.

I think George has a very good point. If I knew I had a certain card and saw it listed by Burbank for $100, I wouldn't hesitate to spend a few minutes looking for it and throwing it on eBay, hoping to get $25-30 for it. Burbank is like "book price". No one pays "book price"... but if they can get 75% off of it, they think it's a bargain.

Onthe flip side, Burbank is bad when they have what you want and won't part for it reasonably. Think of Burbank as Nordstrom's - most of their products can be found elsewhere, cheaper, if you put in the time and look for it/wait for it to hit the sale racks/sale stores...

Guys, I need to def. give props this morning to one of our members

leatherman

I ordered 25 magnetic one-touches on Saturday, and already got them yesterday.
I also spent about 1/3 of what I would have at the shop.

I see that some of us have already ordered from him in the past ;)

Charlie I have ordered from leatherman in the past and he even took extra time to track down and order snap tites he didn't sell for me. Dave is great to deal with and his customer service is top notch.

Morning Guys! Not been feeling well the last few days, so not been on the computer much. Hope everyone's doing well. I'm at work at the moment and then heading to the health center to pick up my prescription and then to the library to prepare for my class this afternoon. Will try to check back in after while.

Blanning, sorry to hear bout your losses, but things will get better. There will be some good to come out of all of this! Remember that you have friends here.

I admire that guy's ability to smile through it! He was probably thinking, "What the bloody blazes!? You threw my foul ball back!! There goes your allowance, kid!!!"

Made an offer which was declined, emailed the seller to see what price he was set upon. They told me they paid $400 when it came out but have listed it several times without even getting an offer. I waited it out and picked it up for $140 delivered. Me thinks that not having Auto or Autograph in the title effected it, last base auto sold over $125

Good morning guys. I hope everyone has a great day.

Tramers- It's kind of nice having you around during the day. Has our closer been converted to the rotation during vacation?

George- Nice pick up on the auto! Nice price indeed. Can't wait to see the reds finished.

Brian- Keep your head up bud. Things will get better. Thoughts and prayers go out to you my friend.
