Made an offer which was declined, emailed the seller to see what price he was set upon. They told me they paid $400 when it came out but have listed it several times without even getting an offer. I waited it out and picked it up for $140 delivered. Me thinks that not having Auto or Autograph in the title effected it, last base auto sold over $125

Good stuff George!!
Never understood how people can look around on eBay and put anything other than "auto" in their title.

::facepalm:: "signature" ::facepalm::

Also - Isn't that a 2008, not 2007?

Good morning all!

Have a great day! I will be cruising all around the chicago burbs today trying to drum up some business.

Getting ready for a fun weekend. Heading down to st. Louis for the cubs vs cards game on saturday. Should be a blast.

Charlie- Good call. I will make my next supply purchase from him. ;)

Tramers- I hope so too. A nice mailday would be sweet. :D

At the request of a fellow MTer, I will show off my Dunn base and inserts. They don't get that much love, but I love base and inserts the same as game used and autographs. So here are the links and remember, my scanner hates chrome/shiny cards. ::facepalm:: Like always, if you click on a card, it will have the card number and other information under it, like insert name or if it's serial numbered and so. Here are the years I have finished scanning and everything.

Thanks Charlie! Yes, 2005 is a great year, that's why I'm not done with it yet. :lol: I'm hoping to show 2003-2005 tomorrow. I still have some scanning and uploading to do. Once I'm finished with Dunn, it's on to Griffey. Hopefully I'll be done by the end of the year. :lol:

George congrats on the Red Hamm (now that I type it that sounds strange :D )

Joe thanks for sharing the links. good start on the Dunn collection. 2005 was by far the best year for base and inserts but I sure am glad there aren't as many sets produced anymore.

Dan and anyone that needs supplies you should definitely give leatherman a chance. like I said earlier he is a great guy and will help you get whatever you need. I am going to post the link to his website I hope it is ok...

I'm sure it's fine, Dave. He has a link in his sig too.

$1.05 per on magnetic one-touches. Can't beat that with a stick :mrgreen:

edit: forgot to add that he told me the website has been wonky lately.
So if you decide to order something, just PM him on here.

Good Morning Guys!!! I'm stuck at home with a yucky flu :cry: Must have woke up about 6 times throughout the night and now I feel like a zombie. Glad sick time is a benifit...but sadly I would rather be at work :lol: Anywho...how is everyone doing??

Brian - Keep your glass half full bud. As tough as things can get you need to keep reminding yourself about the pleasures of life. I know that sounds a bit scripted and vague, but it really does help me get through the tough times. If you need to say whats up or such hop into the MT and we will take care of you :D

Good morning Alex!

Flu = Boooooo! :evil:

Sorry to hear that bud. How's life otherwise?

Not too bad. We spent our "weekend" boxing up and pricing a ton of garage sale stuff. It's like getting ready for a card show but with much heavier stuff :lol: Other than that, just been enjoying the relaxations of marriage. Enough with that though...how is the father life??

Alex- Hope you feel better soon! Eat some soup and drink plenty of fluids.

Very cool Charlie. Some fun and interesting hobbies there.

Here are mine:
Memorabilia- I know it goes hand-in-hand with cards, but a lot of people only collect cards
Comic books- I used to collect avidly, but I don't anymore. Too expensive getting comics every week plus cards. One had to go. :lol:
Shot glasses- I'm not quite sure how this got started, but everyone I know picks me up a shot glass when they go somewhere. I have a couple of hundred
Key chains- I don't exactly collect them to keep around. I have a travel bag that I use when I go on vacation. My best friend borrows it when he goes on vacation too. So what we started doing is whenever we go somewhere we get a new key chain to hang from the bag. It's always fun to find some new, neat, and interesting "bling for the bag". :lol:
DVDs- Crystal and I love movies, so we have over 400 movies on DVD and over 60 different seasons of shows on DVD
Cooking- I love to cook. I'm always looking for new and interesting ideas. Last night actually, when making supper, I decided to stuff a chicken breast. That was the first time I had done that. It turned out rather well actually.

That's about it. I like to play video games on my PS2 sometimes, but I wouldn't exactly call it a hobby.
