I honestly may need to leave the state to search for another teaching position because Governor Corbett has literally declared war on education and has cut over a billion dollars in funding from public schools.

I swear he's out to destroy our great state. He wants to completely remove any funding for state parks, give hand outs to the wealthy, and do away with public education in hopes of moving entirely to charter and online schools. I hope people see this and vote him out come election time.

As for the attacks on Public Education, it seems it is an "In Thing to Do" amongst newly elected Govenors around the country. Scott Walker started it in Wisconsin, and this has led to the cronyism that is running rampant in the state. He had rather fund Charter Schools, and has deverted public funds to these private schools.

Everytime I either read something, type something, or even use any mathmatics in my work duties, I THANK A TEACHER!

Scott, sorry to hear about the troubles.

Based on the outcome of a special election in November, Chris could be out of work, too. If a proposed tax for emergency education funds doesn't pass then, she may be out immediately. Knowing how people here would rather cut their children's throats then pay more taxes, we highly doubt that the measure will pass.

Ralph- I'm in Indianapolis though. So Pittsburgh's health care won't do much for me. :lol:

Scott- I have a golf ball size kidney stone in my left kidney. They are going to put a stent from my left kidney to my bladder and then use lithotripsy to try and break up the stone so that I can pass it.

The only thing that sucks is I can't have anything to eat or drink until after the procedure. That means I didn't get to have my coffee this morning. :evil:
