It doesn't matter to me who makes it in the NL, because whoever the Red Sox meet in the World Series is gonna lose. ;) Can't wait for October baseball.

...yea baby, lay down the gauntlet!!

Sox split in Anaheim, win game 3 at home and I get to see the clinching game on Monday the 12th. I was present for Ortiz's walkoff series-clinching win in 2004 and Manny's walkoff in 2007, both against Angels. Predicting Jason Bay wins series with walkoff

I wish that I shared your enthusiasm!
I love the Sox but it seems this team has a real hard time hitting good pitching.
Sure, they beat up on bad and medicore pitching but it seems when they face someone good, their patient approach goes out the window and I see a lot of guys swinging at first pitches and popping up. Frustrating.

By the way, what in the blue hell was Youk looking for last night in that situation?
3-2, 2 outs with a guy having some control issues.
He should have been sitting on DEAD RED!!!!!

It's playoff time and it's Sox vs. Angels....'til the Angles prove they can play with the Big Boys, Sox fans should be optimistic. It comes down to starting pitching. If Beckett is the 2007 Beckett, look out...if he is the 2008 version, Sox are in trouble.

I agree that Youk fell asleep at the wheel......

Anyway, now that that's over, good morning boys!!

How is everyone today? I have some field work to do today, so I won't be here much.

Lost ALL of my auctions last night :(

I seem to have better luck/better deals lately picking up cards from board members :)

Don't get me wrong, I am with ya but let's just say that I am worried about the offense.
Also, we better pray that Tek stays on the bench the entire series because if not, any single will turn into a double.
The Sox pitchers have to do a better job at holding runners on and minimizing any damage.

Tek flopped last postseason big time when we needed him. I guess a lot of other guys did too. And throwing out runners is non-existent right now, so I agree with the pitchers needing to do a better job.

Dang, Charlie. Youpulled an "o-fer" last night on your auctions? I have a couple coming up that I am keeping an eye on. It'll be my first real buy in a little while.
I did, I did. Sometimes though, it's my own fault. I tell myself what I will pay for a card, and I don't go over that unless it's /10 or /5 or something that never pops. I did buy 2 cards from members though ;) and have a freebie coming my way.

Did everyone (but maybe Jeff) get their cards from the break?

That damn Kell Triple Threads is still out there taunting me. Looks like the guy who offer $70 declined the seller counter.

25 days and hopefully it will get listed again so maybe I can take another shot at it, maybe.

Josh, I received my cards yesterday but the wrinkle in time that effected the MT did not allow me to post about it.

I am fine with 08 Heroes.
