Mike Stanton is a masher who mashed at age 20 and will continue to mash till he's 40. They should call him Mike 'The Masher' Stanton.

Trivia: there has been a 'Mike Stanton' in the Major Leagues for 31 of the last 36 seasons.

You can take Montero off that list and it is still a damn good list.I think Beckham showed way to much promise and will bounce back.Posey is the real deal. And Stanton impressed the hell out of me.I have to go with Posey though.

Stanton will by far have the most career MLB homers for his age in that group, so he will be the most valuable in five years.

Posey is a poser.

Beckham should stick with soccer.

And Jesus is a joke.

Posey will be the best player overall but a 40-50 hr hitter will always get more attention, so i choose Stanton.

If you think that performance is the only thing that has to do with card values you are kidding yourself.

(There's no way he'll outvalue Montero in that market even if he performs better, Montero would really have to bomb)

LOL!

Posey is a great player, but i'm not convinced about his hobby stardom outside NorCal. Right now might just be about as expensive as his chrome auto will ever get - they SHOULD be worth more, with all that he has achieved, but they aren't, cause no one else around the country cares about a guy who will hit .300 and have 20 hr's a year.

40-50 hr per year guy in his early 20's? everyone around the country will be interested.

I'm in the boat that Montero is going to bomb (either he will be traded away or just won't be able to hit MLB pitching as well as everyone in New York thinks he's going to do).

In terms or career MLB homers, Stanton already has a 20 hr lead on Montero and they are the same age, allegedly.

Posey will be a better ball player than his card values will achieve. Winning the world series as a rookie catcher shined a light on him that he likely won't get to enjoy as much going forward.

Beckham has the potential to be a big hobby force because he's got plus power at a middle infield position. (assuming he plays 2b going forward). Obviously he has fallen off that path, but the potential is there.

Stanton obviously has youth and massive HR power (40-50), so his card values have a GREAT chance to appreciate and HOLD value. Also, he speaks fluent English (unlike Montero), so he has a huge leg up on many other young star players in the publicity/advertising world.

Now, Montero is in another league. He's got high batting avg, 30-40 HR power, and he has essentially been given the starting catching job for the New York Freaking Yankees.

The fear with him was that he couldnt stay behind the plate as he advanced, but he's still there. Then the fear was he'd be traded, but he's still there. Now we're heading into spring training and Posada has been told he's the DH........

Jesus has ascended to become a 21 year old starting catcher for the Yankees and will IMMEDIATELY be a fantasy baseball force, as catchers with even DECENT batting average and 15-20 homers are few & far between.

Montero will have a ridiculous Hype fest this spring, and we will all be blown away by the ridiculousness of it.

The thing is, in 5 years if he's still performing, his cards are in the unique huge market potential to hold their value.
