Been spending pretty freely lately, although also trying to be a bargain hunter too. I need to reel it back in a bit. I want to retire soon!

This is a dupe, but it was 66/75. Like 60/75, not quite as good as 6/75, but it will do.

The bloodlines card was a dual sided set, signed by father on one side and son on the other. Ryan Garvey never did anything, so this is just another Steve Garvey card /25.

Last one is also a dupe, the tiger stripe parallel. I never checked to see which version is the best one, but this is unnumbered. Some of these were supposed to be SPs. I know I have not seen a lot of the animal stripe versions, so i do think they are tougher to find. Maybe not terribly rare, but it's unlicensed anyway, so only as good as a non licensed card can be.

I just keep winning these for around $15 delivered. I should stop, but Larry Doby, Rollie fingers and Garv autos certified for $5 a pop? Keep them coming.

Chris Martin. He seems a little harder to find, but sharing same name with another athlete makes finding stuff extra hard too!

100 pages of Dodger additions!

Today brings a few Garvey cards of various low print runs:

1/1, 1/1, 1/1, /5

they are all Leaf, after all, who seems to have nearly single handedly ruined the 1/1 market. Not really, that was already done, but these guys are spitting on it's grave now.

Another leaf disc, 60/75 a semi-jersey match.

A couple really cheap beater Morrell cards

I needed this one for the Dodger collection. I won like 20 of these Timeless teams, many fairly cheap, and this was the only Dodger i needed.

Eric Lauer crosses a need of the current Dodger wantlist. i ended up with 5 in a lot. Sometimes the lots are easier to win than a single!

Finally, a Lopes TT Bronze. These are /50 and were weirdly hard to find when they were new. I usually only really chase the autos and the Gold /5, but Dodger bronzes in a nice price range are hard to resist.

Another Heritage, won not lock after the last one. I paid strong for both, but it's a cool card and i think these will always be fairly popular. Someday maybe Garvey eventually gets the HOF nod, dies and I get rich!!

Another jumbo bat/10. dupe. Still can't break my habit of hoarding the lower print runs when I see deals.

Happy to finally land the Red heritage for Al Oliver. Missed on this one several times before while trying to find a reasonably priced copy. This original 76 was always a favorite card of mine. The "action" shot from that set that is loaded with great images. Because Oliver briefly played in LA, I share his cards in this thread despite nearly all of them feature him on different teams.

I do like these. They are simple and I enjoy the variety of colored backgrounds. Logoless sucks, but keeps them cheaper I believe. This one /5

Finally landed one of these. I assume there was one for every President and they all appear to be 1/1. They don't list the President on the cards and honestly, I don't recognize him off the top of my head. Probably one of the guys from the 1800s that nobody ever talks about. Polk or maybe Buchanan?
Garvey President 1-1 - MRM.png

Jersey Match that I paid a bit strong for, considering it's /50. It is a triple thread and has a relic too, so there is that premium factor. Normally i'd expect a Garvey regular auto /50 to be around $15 (or less).

6/50
Garvey TT Green 6-30 - MRM.png

Almost forgot this one. It's /5. Got a very nice deal on it, so helps make up for the TT 6/50.

I'm confused by the president card. What's the connection between him and Garvey?
Not a damn thing. Leaf is creating all kinds of weird ass cards. Shark, Octopus, Horror scenes, White house, Mt Rushmore, etc. Here player, sign 1000 stickers and we'll stick them on anything we feel like. Anything for a buck. I am a fool for still buying this stuff occasionally, but at least I can live with that knowing I pass on a lot of it too now.

It would be cool to have one with a President that was significant or one that you liked yourself. The green is a nice color contract. Have seen other colors as well.

Pretty excited for this one. I guess they are pretty hard to find. I paid more than I hoped, but have not seen many pop up and wanted to grab one when I had a chance at a lesser price than any of the others I have seen.

Another one I am fairly certain i have already. /99

Wes Parker Photo pack. Sounds like he is a bit elusive. Thought maybe health issues, but seems he is going strong, just not a fan of reliving his baseball past anymore. He is probably the #1 former Dodger that Topps could have tried to get for Archives or especially Heritage that was a miss, since his last card was 1973. Maybe they can still get him for an archives card, but guessing he just doesn't want to sign. Andy Messersmith would be another cool one to get. Neither guy was legendary, but both had solid careers with some decent highlight moments.
