Itsinthegrade: You are a joke and a troll. You keep claiming to be the authority all things autographs yet every time someone asks to back up your point you just tell them not to question you. How asinine. Until you start showing some proof, you have ZERO credibility on here. You were a joke on CU, you were a joke on BMB, and now you're a joke on FCB.

And don't waste the boards time with trying to get street cred because you used to allegedly authenticate for ***. During the same time, you also sold hundreds of *** authenticated minor league autographs. Conflict of interest much?

Leatherman, thank you for backing up your argument with actual evidence.

Gotta love the personal attacks.

Personally, I have little respect for "itsinthegrade" as he's one of those guys who grades a minor league card, then sticks it on eBay as a 1/1 with astronomical prices. It's his call as to do it, but I don't respect his methods. Again, that's my personal take. "Itsinthegrade" may be a great guy; I just don't like the way he utilizes eBay. Therefore, I'm more apt to believe the user who models his username after a known drug user/alcohol abuser, JoshHamilton.

I would love to know how you found out! Did you run a black ops mission in some dark alley where you saw some shadows exchanging briefcases where presumably these fake blank cards would have been? Just wondering. We all would love to know some sort of source even if its not specific names.

Jaypers,

Actually your psots are the ones I read the most on here. I like the fact that you love the Minors.

I'm not going to argue with people on here becuase that goes nowhere fast. I wouldnt want my name associated as a employee of *** so I did take the most exception to that.

Also if I grade a card & its a 1/1 of one what should I call it 1/20?Minor lg cards is what I do. Sorry if I offend you with my prices. The market dictates the prices I offer them at. Its basic economics. My revised prices do reflect the current economy.

1. If you grade a card and it is the only one of it's grade, calling it a 1/1 is misleading. When purchasing a 1/1, a TRUE 1/1 (ie superfractor) - Topps is (most likely) NOT going to produce another superfractor. However, I could take 500 of those minor league cards, get that same grade on it, and the card you sold as a 1/1 is now 1/501. Quite misleading.

2. As for what prices you offer them at - I looked at your closed auctions. Many of them didn't sell. If you didn't have them listed as BINs, then the market would dictate your prices. You're offering them for sale and not selling many.

3. Great! You worked for James Spence. YOU'RE AN AUTOGRAPH EXPERT, RIGHT? Of course not. You could have been a receptionist, or a gopher, or the mail clerk, or his personal whipping boy. Working for Microsoft doesn't make you a software engineer. Working for NASA doesn't make you a rocket scientist.

4. How do we even know your name is James Pampinella?

Ah, well, if SGC says it, it's GOT to be true.

By the way, the proper spelling is counterfeit, not counterfiet.

As for not proving anything, why did you bother to scan your very photoshoppable W-2?

Isn't SGC a pretty highly respected authority by many of our vintage collectors?

I know you have some beef with the OP, but I really don't understand what you are trying to do here? From what I have the seen the OP has never posted anything that was proven inaccurate, and it seems pretty clear that this, like his other posts, contain useful information, information that many would want to have. If you could show he was simply "crying wolf" that would be one thing, but it seems pretty clear that he's right about the Pujols's. (Same about the Jeter Auto's which he has posted about which all look like pretty good fakes and while a discerning collector might tell the difference, many wouldn't.

SGC may be respected by vintage folk - the vintage I've had, I've had graded by PSA - but I lump them in with PRO and USA. If BGS or PSA came on and discussed it, it would have more credibility.

Post from Sgc board

Sgc employee & moderator verifying my story:

http://www.sgccard.com/boards/ubbthread ... =1&gonew=1

Best regards!

I am the one that asked SGC for the information on the fake Pujols cards on the SGC thread as I tend to not believe much of what is written by many posters on message boards. Just so I am clear here and maybe I read it wrong, Brian at SGC mentioned they rejected the cards for questionable autos and numbering NOT because the cards were counterfeit which I believe was the original intent of this post was it not? I fully respect SGC and I know that if something is counterfeit I believe they call it that. They rejected these cards for questionable authenticity of the autograph only as well as bad numbering..am I correct on this? Just trying to keep the story straight, thats all!!

Eh, I dont know Jeff, Although I have never had a card graded by SGC I do own some and I have to say their grading standards do seem to be on par with PSA and maybe somewhat more strict. You definitley hear far less scandles or issues with SGC cards than you do with PSA. PSA always seems to have a number of issues and I fully understand that the more cards you grade, the more issues you expose yourself to. SGC is the leader in vintage grading and they just seems to understand this nuances of these cards better than the production line of graders at PSA.

I am not defending them, just offering this as my opinion!

Jeff can you just stop because right not any creditbility you had is gone.

Your comparing Sgc to Pro?? Again why you can't even post info without an idiot chiming in.

Get lost because now what ever you say cant even be taken seriously. You have nothing to bring to table except for being a troll.

Go find another hobby you know something about. Maybe a proof reader?
