JP, quality stuff, appreciate the time and effort.

How close was Jon Gilmore to making your White Sox Top 10?

Any explanation on Montgomery over Moustakas? I feel like you could be the only list to have that, but maybe I'm missing something.

How far has Moustakas fallen on the overall list?

Last question- Heyward, Montero, or Stanton?

Given the questions already asked, and that will be asked, JP, you should have done a chat tonight - would've been fun.

Not surprised with the Sox list. Wish Bowden would have done more to help himself though. He was very good in AAA but had some early trouble in Boston. Picked up a win today though :)

Mid-teens, at least for me.

Montgomery impressed the hell out of me this year, whereas Moose didn't impress as much as he did last year. His BA was over 20 points lower, for one. But he's still their top hitting prospect. Montgomery, if he lives up to his potential, could be a # 2 starter, maybe even # 1.

If I had to guess, he'd be in my 25-30 range.

Heyward for me.

1) Domonic Brown
2) Kyle Drabek
3) Michael Taylor
4) Travis d’Arnaud
5) Anthony Gose
6) Trevor May
7) Sebastian Valle
8) Jonathan Singleton
9) Brody Colvin
10) Antonio Bastardo

On the Cusp – Yohan Flande
Team Sleeper – Domingo Santana

Pretty good JP. 8-)

My top 4 would be the same but then I would go May, Gose, Colvin, Cosart, Valle, Singleton and going out on a limb I'll say Colby Shreve for on the cusp.

Ofcourse there a number of little things I can quibble with, but I cannot see how Anthony Rizzo isn't on your Red Sox top 10. I'd take him over Lars.

That was another system which was stocked full of talent, and made it hard for me to select just twelve names. He was very close, though.

He better be! ;)

Seriously though, the only things Lars has done that Rizzo hasn't, is succeed at AA and suck at AA. Rizzo did better at 19 than Lars did at 19 and has almost an identical ceiling, but is considered a much better defender. So Lars needs to move down, or Rizzo needs to move up. Fuentes over him? Exposito? Stolmy?

Some hyped prospects have off-seasons, only to return with a vengeance next year. McCutchen was one of them not too long ago. I'm betting it was Lars' turn this year. He will make it to Boston before Rizzo, as Boston will not be rushing him at all, due to his condition. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I still believe Lars is completely legit. It's amazing how people seem to abandon the more talked about prospects after a bad year.

I'm not abandoning him, but it's completely legit to question Lars. He lacked the power production of an elite 1B prospect prior to last year, when he slugged a little over .500 in the Cal League, playing his home games in Lancaster, then actually upped his production not only jumping to AA, but to the most pitcher friendly league in AA. This year in a full season there, he SUCKED. Other than hype, what's the difference between Lars and Rizzo?

I feel he will be a better overall hitter and will have more power. Defensively, maybe. If Lars chokes next year I'll be the first to admit I was wrong.

Nice to see Marc Krauss at #8. I hope he does well, he is the pride of OU baseball, lol.

As for JPA....there's always 2010, lol.

Thanks for the effort JP. I'm embarrassed to say that I had to look up a couple of my Tigers guys on your list.

My Padres list would be very different than yours, not to say your list isn't good or anything.
