My chipboard card storage box arrived....... pics

I mentioned a while back that I purchased one of these for $40 dlvd:

and i had a few people PM me asking to see pics when it arrived. The box was backordered, but the owner communicated with me very well regarding the timeframe for arrival. It took about 2.5 weeks to arrive. Here are some pics:

All of the trays are removeable. The left 2 trays are cards that are in magnetic one-touch cases. The 2nd from the right is full of 1/4" 4-screw acrylic holders that I use to store my Allen & Ginter N43 autographs. The right tray has a few BGS and PSA slabs. I am very pleased with the box and it looks great. I wish that it had a handle, but I understand that 140 graded cards is a lot of weight for a handle to support that is only attached to the thin, yet fairly rigid, chipboard material. We'll see how it holds up over time.

I have 2 that I ordered back when MJ Roop was still kicking. They are beat up pretty good, but I have moved them home to college twice and from Indiana to Texas and back. If you take card of it and just have it sitting on a shelf looking pretty it should last you and stay in nice shape for a long while.

Will toploaders work as well? I'd like to get one but I would have a lot of toploaders.

Yes they fit nicely width-wise, especially with a team bag around each one, but the tray wall sticks up further than the toploader. I have considered, and will probably follow through with, taking a pair of scissors to one of the trays to lower the walls to better fit a row of toploaders.

Plus it would hold a TON of toploadered cards, probably 100-150 per tray, depending on card widths

Card Savers would also work really well, as they're close in heigth and width to a slab

I have 2 of those from MJ Roop. I like them. I keep my personal collection stash in those.

Instead of storing your A&G N43 autos in those heavy slabs, try them in a card saver 1 with a graded team bag over the card saver so it doesn't get scratched.

They do look good in card savers, but I prefer the look and added protection the acrylic holders provide, and my collection is relatively small so I have room for them. Thanks for the recommendation
