Well, I came home from work today to find my front door window smashed out. I called the cops, they cleared the house and I took stock. What did these POS's take? My wife's wedding ring/engagement ring, her grandmother's antique pearls, some DVDs and ALL of my prospect stash and Brewers PC/prospect stash. I mean ALL. I had them in a plastic chest-of-drawers, they pulled it out, and empited them into into a hamper of mine.

The thing is, I don't know where they think they can move these. You're talking about a John Axford Superfractor, Alcides Escobar Magenta Print Plate, other RED refractors that don't show up too often. They got my entire Gallardo PC and my Hernan Iribarren PC (where are they going to move those 1/1's?)

Anyway, what I could use is as many extra eyes on eBay as possible. The link to my trade bucket and Brewer's PC are in my sig. I'm going to cast a wide net on eBay for some of the better/rarer stuff. If anyone wants to take a look and maybe keep a few things in the back of their minds, I'd be much obliged.

Sliver lining: they didn't hurt my dog (or steal her), they didn't find 90% of my Yount collection, and they are stuck in a corner when it comes to moving this stuff.

WISCONSIN collectors: I could use some extra help from you guys, especially the guys who frequent the Madison shows. If you see anything, don't hesitate to call the cops. I've already contacted 1 pawn shop and one LCS. I'll try the others tomorrow and get word to the local show promoters and see if they can help.

Sigh...

Thanks guys.

I'm very sorry...lets hope these sons of ******* get caught and you get your cards back.

But like you said, with so many rare cards, it's gonna be hard to move these somewhere and not get seen.

I know it won't make you feel any better but at least you and your family were away when it happened. Hopefully things will go your way and you will recover at least some of your possessions.

Can you provide a list of the serial numbered stuff? You never know they might pop up in Minneapolis/Western Wisconsin as well. I'd be happy to put the list in my wallet for you.

Called the shop here and let them know. They'll put a note up for the other guys to keep an eye out.
Maybe friend the shop on Facebook and post there too.

Scumbags! I will keep my eyes pealed in the Appleton/Oshkosh area. Hopefully they will turn up at a local show and I can bust some skulls.

Our house was broken into awhile back and they didnt touch any of the sports stuff except a Todd Zeile card  ::facepalm:: (Thank God). They took 1/1 items of a differnt kind my grandpa's HS class ring and another ring that was his. Also 3 Laptops, and Nintendo Wii. These people were true idiots becuase they did not touch my PS3 or games but they took a Wii, who wants a Wii LMAO. People need to their hand off of others property. I belive people who are caught breaking into houses should have their hands cut off then the same the second time and the third death by fireing squad.

That sucks. I had a similar situation last year. They got my computer and most of my certified autographed RCs (cards I got signed and then authenticated by PSA DNA).

I haven't seen anything yet, and despite the robber(s) leaving behind blood (cut themselves on a broken window) no arrests have been made.

Very lame.

Good luck to you and your situation. I know it's tough to lose great stuff and family heirlooms, but at least it's just stuff and everyone is okay.

Sucks man I've had it happen to myself personally. I'm sorry that it happened. The most important thing you can do now is to do your own leg work. Don't count on the police to help you (it sounds sad but it's true). Definitely stop by any LCS in the area, that where they will try to unload your stuff. Don't give up and keep us informed ok?
