I spent some time talking to Phil Pfeifer and Nick Delmonico and had them both sign a ball on the sweet spot. It didn't bother them in the slightest. They've been high school teammates for the past three years turning Farragut (Knoxville TN) into a powerhouse winning the state championship three years in a row.
Most of these players are going to be totally comfortable with the concept of signing autographs, especially since many have been through the USA system and Upper Deck signings before.
Even Harper last year didn't have a problem with it...he just knew that he was signing for resellers more than collectors because the same people would bombard him with multiples.
I would hope that Vanegas makes the team, but he hasn't shined so far in the past two weeks. We'll find out by Sunday who makes the final cut.
