As a season ticket holder, I hate this deal but understand it. He was the only tradeable player they have since nobody is going to take Juan Rivera. Too many DH type players on the roster plus he will get a big pay raise with his arbitration hearing in the next couple weeks.

Mathis and Wilson have no trade value. Conger is not ready to handle the staff yet.

They'll end up with Podsednik or Damon if they can possibly move Rivera or this deal may be enough to allow them to sign another FA. Manny and Vlad are possible as well but I see Pods or Damon as a better fit.

Looks like Mike Trout will be their centerfielder or tradebait this year. Wells will have to move to left and Hunter is in right. Bourjos is their centerfielder right.

Wells would shift to left, unless Bourjos is traded now. Bourjos would have been an easy gold glover if he played the full season, he's one of the smoothest CF'ers I've seen.
