A friend and I are going on a little baseball road trip this summer. One of the things I wanted to do was try the signature food/drink at each stadium. I looked online but couldn't find a complete list. Also if you know of anything else baseball related around these areas that's worth checking out let me know! We will be going to the following cities:

Milwaukee
Minnesota
Kansas City
St. Louis
Chicago (both teams)
Detroit
Toronto
New York (both teams)
Cleveland
Philadelphia
Washington

We will also be doing stadium tours in Baltimore, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh if time allows.

We will also be going to Field of Dreams in Iowa, the Louisville Slugger museum and of course Cooperstown.

Thanks for any help!

There's absolutely only one way to eat in Milwaukee.....a beer and a brat.

After the game you should head out to the Bluemound avenue area of taverns for some more beer.

And beware, people drink a TON in Milwaukee. More than any other city if all things were equal.

Yeah, pretty easy call.

But if you want to get authentic, you need to find one of the stands that has the stadium sauce on the grill. Have them dip the brat (or the Italian or Polish) in the secret stadium sauce with some ***** on top. Wash it down with a High Life. Absolute perfect ballpark fare.

Pregame: Panini sandwich (Panini's is a block from the ballpark. Get the Capicola with egg, fries, slaw...)
Post-game: go to Great Lakes Brewing Company, just a couple miles away. It's over the Lorain Carnegie Bridge, across the street from the West Side Market. Food is great and the beer is world-class.

Thanks for the help so far guys.

I knew about the ***** League Museum, but unfortunately to stay on schedule it came down to going there or making a stop in Columbia on the way to St. Louis. I can't miss a chance to visit Mizzou for the first time in two years.

Oh... I'm turning 21 before the trip if that helps... :D

Way disagree. You want authentic, try McGinn's or The Harp (downtown). The Safe-House is where all the FIBS go when they're in town just to say they knew how to get in.

Minus the scene from Major League this place has nothing to do with baseball.

Others:
Long Wong's (by the stadium)
Flannerys
Kelly's Bleachers

Thanks... I want it to be as baseball themed in each city as possible, as for the most part I will only be in each city for a day or less. I'll actually be in Milwaukee a little longer though as I am flying into there because the friend I'm doing this with lives in Wisconsin.... Looking forward to the two nights in Madison, I've heard crazy things! haha

Medieval Times? Medieval Times? That's a joke around here, like saying go to Chuckie Cheese.

The food at Wrigley ain't winning any awards. But for signature food, just get a Chicago style hot dog with all the fixings, including celery salt and sport peppers. You'd get a much better one right outside the stadium though. If you are going authentic stadium food, get the Hebrew National dogs sold on the 1st level. Much superior to the Armour hot dogs sold by the roving vendors. Now Harry Caray would tell you to wash it down with a cold Budweiser, but us Wrigley purists know that that's a Cardinal's fan's brew (coming from St. Louis) and the only way to go is with an ice cold Old Style. Have fun, sounds like a fantastic trip!

When in Milwaukee, I would suggest going to McGinn's and taking the Slimosine (McGinn's owner is nicknamed "Slim") to the stadium. Drops you off right at the gate and is completely free assuming you buy a drink there. You can drink on the Slimo too.

Milwaukee and Madison are the drunkest places in America. Get ready....

For the Yankees you could go to...

Mo's New York Grill

Mickey Mantle's Restaurant Bar

or the NY Steakhouse or Hard Rock Cafe in Yankee Stadium.

You know you're going to be w/ me when you are in KC right? You can crash here as long as your friends aren't complete ********. I'll show you around and give you a real bbq / jazz experience if you guys have time and money.

I've been to the ***** Leagues Museum 10 times and it still takes me a couple hours minimum. The Jazz museum is awesome also.

I really appreciate the offer Justin. My old roommate from Mizzou lives in KC and I was planning on staying with him. We really aren't going to be there long. We will be coming straight from Field of Dreams and barely get there in time for the game, then leaving first thing in the morning for Columbia and St. Louis.

Yankee Stadium: I know you can get this a few places, but I never leave there without a few Premio Hot Italian sausage sandwiches. God, I could go for one right now.
