Here are a few random pickups from a local show.

1997 Donruss Team Sets MVPs /1,000 - This wasn't a very popular set, being regional and team specific, I don't think but these are beautiful cards in hand. I'll be freeing them from their BGS slabs.

2004 Fleer Platinum Inscribed Eric Gagne /130 and Jose Reyes /20 - Reyes has two cards, both with the same picture, with one /20 that was inserted in packs and one /150 that was a redemption. This is the first copy of Gagne I've seen pop up since I started working on this set 4 years ago. I just need Adam LaRoche /200 and Rocco Baldelli /100 now to finish it up.

1992 Classic Four Sport Autos Derrick Moore /1,575 - I hadn't ever seen the auto before. I pick up Derrick Moore stuff when I see it because I remember watching him play at my alma mater back in the day. He's one of the few guys from NSU to start in the NFL regularly for a while too.

1995 Fleer Ultra Hot Packs Jam City Hakeem Olajuwon - I accidently bought a Hot Packs version Michael Jordan a few months back trying to finish my Jam City set so I'm slowly picking up the rest of the Hot Packs versions.

1992 Six Flags Batman Returns Holo - I hadn't ever seen this one so for $3 why not.

I miss going to used record stores and the bins just being stuffed with great albums for $5 or less. Some titles you might see 5-6 copies or more.

My interest was purely for listening, but now I wish I would have grabbed some stuff that I repeatedly passed on. Not t for value r collectibility, but to have the music. For example, some of the less popular albums into the mid 70s by artists like Foghat, The Doobie Brothers, Etc.

I am going to once more defend 1991 Fleer and state that NOBODY complains about the 1963 Topps Stand-Ups being a similar yellow color. Maybe the constrasting green is your excuse, but I have said it before and will restate it again. Scarcity causes us to forgive flaws. Why are most of the scarce cards considered so appealing? Because you hardly ever see them, so seeing a copy is refreshing. I'll get off the box now, but 91 Fleer is a great set in my opinion, despite the yellow so many love to point out.

So my addition is a reply of the 64 set with an autograph. The colors on this one are not close to the originals in their vividness, but still a cool card and a guy that I would call my runner up player collection to Garvey.

Russell Maryland and Matt Leinart, one more off the Raider QB list. The card is more attractive in hand, with the brownish/rose color that must have come from a reflection, because the face of the card is a silver foil effect.

back then it was analog stereo, no better than vinyl to listen how it originally sounded.

1984 Kelloggs Star Wars Return of the Jedi Stickers

Picked up a few 1996 and 1997 Pinnacle set fills as well

Also had what was billed as a Near Mint 1985 Topps WWF Rowdy Roddy Piper RC show up in the mail. I think my criteria for Near Mint and the seller's vary quite a bit.

Cool addition to Cytowncollection.com. hand numbered to only 24 . only handful of players in the set. Metal hinge and case makes it really neat. Need to buy a booklet case now, dont stock those lol.

The other one was worse than I thought and another one popped up. more that i wanted to spend for 2 of the same panel, but at least i have a good one to check off the list.
